NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso

Had an excellent family holiday (2 weeks) at the Mirtillo Rosso. Close to many alpine locations, and also a daily outing/activity organised by the hotel that are child-friendly. Some examples: - We could borrow off-road baby strollers from the hotel to join these outings. - Dining in the restaurant for half-board guests is very quick and efficient. No need to worry about hungry babies - Baby room and Mini-club within the hotel - Ample childrens food, milk, etc in the food offerings - Amazing staff The rooms are very well adapted for young families, with much care and design. For example no sharp corners in rooms, baby gates, child-safe sockets. Sometimes the mini club arranges evening activities on the roof (e.g. dancing). We worried a bit with the level of noise, with our sleeping toddler in the room... Though she didn't wake up. Alagna is a wonderful location with many walks, trails and mountain environment. It is not well documented online, though we found it to be a great area, and we're very happy. When we booked the holiday, this property was still the "Mirtillo Rosso Family Hotel" and was thereafter incorporated into the NH hotels group. I hope that in future, NH retains the family feel of this hotel, and that this isn't lost. Speaking to other guests who had visited in previous years, they mentioned that while the hotel property is still identical, the mood and family atmosphere inside the hotel has noticeably changed since the NH integration.... I hope that this can remain a true family hotel.

We definitely recommend this hotel, after spending almost two weeks there, with our almost 1-year-old baby. The hotel provides everything you need for children: special food for babies/children, comfortable baby/children chairs, several game-rooms for children of various ages, warm swimming pools (30C and 34C, if I remember correctly) etc. Every day there are multiple trip options (included in the price), some are suitable for little children, and some for stollers, so everyone can find which trips to enjoy. The staff is very friendly.

We went with high expectations. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The hotel fell below nearly every European family hotel we have stayed at over the past 4/5 years, considering the cost and the rating. Service in the restaurant was poor, at times with the feeling that the food was literally thrown at you, the menu is via an annoying app which does not always work and makes it difficult to know which courses you are ordering for. Breakfast was a chaotic affair with limited healthy options and a lot of sweet things, nothing really healthy for kids. Cut veg / fruit / quality meats etc. On departure we were tagged to a lunch we had not received for over a 100 euro charge, which was sorted out but was a reflection of the approach. As non Italian speakers, it felt a little like we were in inconvenient addition (outside of activity guides who were great). Pool and facilities are good and the hotel is located in an amazing place, just needs to improve on its standards if it wants to attract a higher level of clients.

If you are looking for the pinnacle of service, atmosphere, professionalism, and family fun, look no further. Mirtillo Rosso truly creates the magic that places like Disney World claim to have mastered. This hotel embodies the perfect guest experience, thanks to owners and staff who surpass even the most idealized expectations of hospitality. By far, this resort has provided our family with the most enjoyable vacation we’ve ever had.

Amazing family hotel - the pool was great, food and service great. The kids had an amazing time. Also in comparison to other kinder hotels the bedroom was larger than usual and very nice quality. The bar was nice for family relaxing in the evening. We loved our stay and couldn’t have been happier!

Our 3rd visit to Mirtillo Rossa and it did not disappoint. Love the food, the staff, the spa and the very spacious family rooms! Can’t say enough about the staff who work so hard. The activities for the kids are well done and executed…thank you Davide. Evening cocktail nights with the DJ are loved by all!
