Just returned from 10 days all inclusive at Olympic Palace. Overall, we had a really great holiday and experience but there’s definitely some good and not so good points. The room - spacious and standard but clean and tidy. Really powerful shower which I always appreciate. The beds are also comfy. They provide pool towels, hairdryer in the room, air con really good and safe can be used with no extra charge. We did have the mountain facing rooms but we opted to not pay the extra for pool view as we are never in the room so not important to us. The pool - really clean and well maintained. The pool bar is great and the staff are helpful and will chat if you strike up the conversation but otherwise, not so much. There’s plenty of loungers with no reserving which is amazing - no early morning pressures to get a sun bed. The opening and closing times are a little frustrating however. The pool opens at 10am and closes at 6pm (it’s literally chained off which can make being on a sun lounger awkward as well) which can be quite restrictive if it’s a nice day and you want to make the most of the full days sun. The food - definitely one of the best all inclusive hotels for food we’ve had. Yes, it’s not always the hottest, but the variety and taste are both great. The gyros at the Greek corner at lunch time are delicious! We also ate at the Italian and Aquamarine a la carte restaurants and both were amazing! Well presented and delicious food and really good service. Drinks - pretty standard but as this isn’t an exclusive all inclusive hotel, I think the beer and wine is better than the usual as there are people that are paying for drinks. Spirits are the usual local alternatives and standard cocktails are good with plenty of choice. You can get the premium cocktails for a discounted price however if you’re all inclusive. It is sometimes quite frustrating trying to get a drink though, both in the lounge bar and the rooftop bar. At the rooftop, sometimes they’re happy to serve you at the bar, other times they insist on you ordering at the table with a waiter/waitress and when you try to do that, you wait forever! Unless certain staff are on and then it’s better. The staff - all generally good and helpful. Nice on Reception etc. Our cleaner was also really nice. Stand out for us was Galini who worked absolutely everywhere (Italian, lounge bar, rooftop bar, pool bar, main restaurant) and no matter where she was, she was always incredible and works so hard! Entertainment - the shows are mainly in the rooftop bar or some in the lounge bar so consist of singers only really. Some better than others. Other nights it’s a “disco” night but all that means is the animation playing songs and nothing more. Quite sedate in comparison to other hotel shows we’ve experienced. The animation team are basically none existent and honestly very poor when usually these are the ones that make your holiday and create the fun. One lad is marginally better than the others (didn’
