Athineon Hotel

Her şey mükemmeldi. Otel temiz ve odaları çok güzeldi. Otel konum itibari ile harika yerdeydi. Limana ve eski şehire çok yakın. Teşekkür ederiz. Tekrar Rodos a gelince yine bu otelde konaklayacağız.

Fantastic! This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. I requested a room on the top floor with a harbour view. And it didn't disappoint, sometimes we got up before 6am just to watch the sunrise, we loved seeing the cruise ships come and go. We had breakfast as part of our booking but although there was good selection for continental guests, we would have liked some healthy cereals and the same food was served every day so it got boring. The pool area is lovely and well looked after BUT the notice about staff removing unattended towels was sadly never instigated and so people just put them on beds before breakfast. The staff at the hotel are fantastic, they work long hours yet are always so pleasant, we will be back.

We stayed for a week at Athineon self catering. First of all the location is great, very close to the medieval city. Also if you're lucky enough to get a sea view like we did you're overlooking the harbour and get to see all the cruise ships coming and going. We had a very spacious room that had a living room, kitchenette and then bedroom. The room was very clean, the only slight issue was the external noise which the hotel can't do anything about from the road and the odd ship horn. There were enough sunbeds by the pool, never felt like you were fighting for one. Always peaceful around there also. The bar/restaurant is by the pool and the times we ate there we really enjoyed the food and cocktails. The staff were excellent and always friendly with us. We would love to go back one day.

Well all I can say is if this hotel is getting rave reviews then I am confused - the pool and bar area is nice - that’s it - breakfast hard rubbery fried eggs - bedroom in suites is nice , but the kitchen and bathroom is just not 4 star it’s 2 star- see my pics of bathroom . Disgusting and dirty - an absolute disgrace - charging four star prices for this disgusting mess.

The location of this hotel is ideal for exploring the wider island & the medieval old town. Only 5 mins walk to 2 different entrances meant we saw so much of even the less ‘touristy’ side. There’s a sandy beach also 5 mins away. Usually the cruise ships dock here but on our last day there wasn’t a boat in sight & the water was crystal clear. Went with adult children & had a lovely suite with sea view and well stocked kitchen. Good sized shaded veranda was ideal after hot, sunny day at the pool. Plenty of sun loungers and the four poster bed type were available free of charge (1st hotel we’ve stayed in to do this) Hotel was spotless & staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Bar and food prices reasonable with good choice and wide range of cocktails were couple of euros cheaper than old town. There’s entertainment couple of nights a week but we were out exploring the fabulous town. So sad to leave and would definitely be back

The athinion is based around 100 metres from Rhodes old town,without the hustle and bustle, it is superbly located The room we booked was De-lux ,which gives you a bigger area,two patio doors one being in your bedroom,one in the living area ,ask for the 4th floor overlooking the harbour the ever changing views are fantastic,the other side overlooks the swimming pool area. Very comfy beds,cleaned everyday,and a very clean hotel. Staff are attentive polite,and very courteous,prices at the bar and eating area are very competitive. Plenty of beds around the pool,although at times it can be busy,there are signs saying towels left on beds over a certain time will be removed,I saw " no sunbed" wars. Easy excess to everywhere from this hotel, and the walk into Rhodes Town,and along the harbour front are very easy,and enjoyable. There is huge supermaeket 10 mins walk away,and a beach only used by locals around 25 mins walk away,which has beds ,sandy beach and lovely views Breakfast which came with our deal,is very good ,fresh,and good choices. I would not hesitate reccomending the Athinion .TIP ask for the fourth floor, De-lux room ,over looking the harbour.
