Blue Sky City Beach Hotel

Having read the reviews of this hotel we were rather disappointed with it. The position is ideal being on the west side of Rhodes Town but within 10/15 minutes walk of the harbour and old town. We had deluxe seaview room with balcony overlooking the beach opposite and were treated to 12 beautiful hours of sunshine a day. Not so if you stay on the east coast of the island. Pros: Well positioned hotel, large rooms with fridge and kettle, good variety for breakfast, nice pool area and helpful staff. Cons: Extremely noisy in the rooms as overlooking a main road with roundabout and poor double glazing. Beds and bed linen were awful, never had a good nights sleep because of this. Room is large but souless with no real space to unpack suitcases. Towels changed regularly in bathroom but again of poor quality and it always flooded when using the overhead shower. Cleanliness just about OK but room really needed a deep clean. Horrible dirty rug on bedroom floor. Evening meals were really where the hotel was let down. Plenty of choice in the salad offering which was good. However, soup was always on the lukewarm side and the main courses were never ever hot. In the end we abandoned eating any main course. Good variety of desert. Would not recommend opting to add the evening meal, stick to bed and breakfast and venture out to the many tavernas around the area for other meals. Would not stay here again. Tip: use the road on the left hand side of the BP garage to go directly to the harbour (good pavements) and the road on the right of the garage to go to the old town and Grand Masters Palace (bad or no pavements).

A super hotel where the photos they provide don’t do it justice. Everything is super clean, the staff are very welcoming and the food is brilliant, especially the buffet breakfast. It is very close to the centre of everything and everything is walkable. The pool is brilliant, but a little chilly in April! The hotel has a nice small feel to it in comparison to the big hotels further down the coast. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a slightly quieter but still busy trip to Rhodes!

The hotel is in a great location and is spotlessly clean. The rooms are large and well furnished. The tv channel choice is really poor, but that wasn't an issue for us. The mattress could be replaced and we needed to ask for extra bedding as it got cold during the night. The staff were excellent, friendly and professional, always greeting us with a smile. Breakfast was plentiful, great variety and good quality.

This hotel is great. Went here for my 50th birthday. It's in a great location right by the beach and the old, and new, town are within an easy walk, as is the harbour. There is plenty to do whether you want history, you have the old town and the ancient acropolis, or if you want a beach and shopping. The new town has plenty of shops from souvenir to designer brands. The thing that makes the hotel and the holiday is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We couldn't rate the staff and the hotel high enough. They really make the holiday.

Me and my friend stayed here for 6 nights and we had an amazing stay, the service from the staff, in particular Angela and Mikolas, was beyond fantastic. We felt very welcome and they helped us with anything we needed including location of shops, taxis, hotel enquiries and other general questions. Lovely rooms with sheets and towels changed daily and a great pool and bar. Just a short walk to the city centre and then a little further for old town. Would recommend if coming to Rhodes and staying in this hotel.

Absolutely fantastic hotel and holiday! The hotel is gorgeous inside and outside everything about it is a boutique kind of feel and a vibe. Me and my partner stayed in a sea view room which you can see in the pictures is a fabulous view of the sea, the pool area is spacious and there’s is plenty beds, the pool area is also a suntrap it’s pretty much all day sun on the pool area, hotel is very clean and sleek in general, we stayed as bed and breakfast which was very tasty there is plenty options to choose from fruits and yoghurts to cereals to full breakfast or omelettes and salads. The hotels location is absolutely sound as your a crossing away from the beach and a 10-15 minute walk away from the medieval city and the new town which plenty of traditional Greek restaurants and bars on the way and close by. The staff were also very engaging and friendly and made us feel so welcome, 100% recommend to anyone and 100% going to come back some day! Yamas!
