Wonderful hotel, proper 5 star. Location is beautiful, quiet, beach front. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Bedrooms and common areas all beautiful. So many pools and areas in which to soak up the sun. All staff from Reception to restaurant, bars to housekeeping, ice cream parlour to bakery, and everyone in between couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Quality and choice of food and drink is excellent. Activities and entertainment if you want it, peace and tranquility if you chose not to. As an all-inclusive break, it would be impossible to fault. Can certainly see us returning.

My wife and I stayed here 1st week in October and have stayed in 4/5 star hotels across Spain/Cyprus and now Greece here is our honest review of the Hotel Room We had a pool view room, nothing wrong with it walk in shower, no bath,fridge stocked with beer, water and soft drinks honestly didn't drink the coke or sprite as plenty at bars.Cleaners do a great job towels changed every day.No British TV channels can sink netflix,youtube and Prime to it if you want. Pools If you can't be happy with the choice that the hotel offers I'm not sure what will.Main pool has many options of seating, available didn't see many towels down early and yet everyone got beds.Pool music a bit loud and repetitive but manageable.Beach area[we went here) plenty of space grass, paving and beach areas all with sunbeds ,parasol and most have small tables.As other reviews say need footware to get into the sea as very stoney. Bars 2 inside the hotel 1 at the pool and 1 at the beach.No problem with staff just like everyone else they will have good and bad days generally I thought they all catered well for the guests.Cocktails were ok not strong, beer not good ,wine horrendous . Food The main buffet restaurant I thought had a very good standard of food for an all inclusive. Breakfast was standard with a fresh omelette station as a bonus.Lunch probably the poorest options here but I advise to go to the Italian restaurant where they do an excellent menu .Also went there for dinner didn't think as good and better options in the buffet .Didn't try the wine bar or Greek restaurant so can't review them.Bakery I thought was poor the day we went not much options and couldn't get a coffee here.Possibly could use this area for a light lunch option ie baguette, wraps and soup not everyone wants a heavy lunch. Location Hotel is rather isolated ,Rainbow bar outside front entrance (didn't go) small walk along beach takes you into lalysos where there are bars and restaurants that look pretty and a bit disappointed didn't go for an evening meal to taste some Greek hospitality. Booked bus into Rhodes from Reception €8 return can also pay driver cash.Taxi about €16-€20 one way.Rhodes old town worth a look .Went to Symi by ferry 1hour 50mins [ advise not to do with a hangover] Island lovely but I personally would have rather toured Rhodes island by bus and got a guide to talk me through the history of the island. Overall a good hotel possibly not 5 star but a good 4 never tried Spa .Animation girl very good with guests and those that competed made most welcome.Nightly entertainment not the best rock and roll night good and the DJ set had us up dancing. Although didnt effect us nothing apart from the pools to keep youngsters entertained no indoor amusement area,no pool table and no designated activities. Just a thought if you have this age group as family. To sum up was sad to leave to come home which indicates how much we enjoyed our stay and never say never may return in the future.

Stunning hotel. The food was amazing as were the cocktails. We would highly recommend anyone to stop at this hotel. The only reason we did not give it five stars was the fact that most of the staff looked like they were chewing wasps. This was mainly the pool bar staff and the bakery staff. Not sure if it was just because it was end of season and they had had enough or another reason. In the hole, I would recommend this resort to couples or groups of adults. It's not what I would class as a kid friendly family resort... but that's fine with us, we didn't take the kids.

I have recently just returned from a great 7 night stay at the electra palace. We had a lovely holiday however I don’t believe it is a 5 star hotel having stayed in many 5 star hotels before. On check in there was a mixup with the rooms to which they tried to put 3 adults in a 2 bed room however this was dealt with extremely fast and was very little stress. I do believe this should be an adult only hotel as it was not very child friendly. I traveled with 4 adults and 2 children. 10 and 16 years and although the experience for the 16 years old was fine they enjoyed it the 10 year old was very bored and there was nothing really going on entertainment wise and the food was not very child friendly either , As he has autism he eats a lot of beige foods and we found this hard to come by and unexpected Specially in a 5 star resort most I have stayed in have a children’s food section in the hotel would be ideal in this hotel. The positives - food was great ( just not for kids ) Gyros / the Greek and Italians are amazing the buffet was lovely too . - drinks were good ( specially the aperol spritz ) and the lollipop cocktail was beautiful ! - nightly entertainment for adults again fab ! Specially the dancers and the soul / swing night. - hotel was beautifully clean and modern - never any rush for beds and plenty bed choice - room was lovely - mariana our maid was lovely !!! Done a great job The negatives - DAY TIME POOL MUSIC RUINS THE HOTEL - I can’t stress this enough it was too loud and absolutely dreadful music. It started to drive me insane by end of the week. Sounded like someone was let loose on a keyboard with backing music from space . I think just a bit normal charts / current /80s any type of normal music would have been better at a lower volume so we could at least hold a conversation. - never replenishing the fridges ? 5 star hotels should always have that included. I had to beg for water every day - a snack bar would be great too the same Italian menu every day for repetitive or even lite bar snacks would be a good addition. - some staff very rude . Majority the women behind the pool bar or in the Italians . The reception lady was lovely and the main restaurant staff again lovely . - could do with a good coffee the coffee was dreadful. A barista again would add that bit more ! George the pool bar man was super friendly and very good ! Very good customer service too !! . I do believe this hotel could be great with a few adjustments and also if it was to move to adult only I would definitely return as a couple but only if that pool music is improved.

2nd time at Electra Palace Rhodes this year and can’t rate it enough . Very well looked after . Staff are so friendly and 10/10 for cleanliness. Great facilities and location . Great selection of food at the buffet and the a la carte restaurants are amazing. Myself and my sister had a facial in the spa which was a great finish to our holiday . Katrina was a great therapist

Currently spending our last day here today after a relaxing 2 weeks stay this is our second visit to electra palace and there has been alot of changes for the better this year the food is excellent with lots of choice in the main restaurant and the ala carte restaurants are fantastic also the wine bar with the meal is an extra bonus the entertainment is varied throughout the week catering for all.Hats off to despina and alena they are a credit to the hotel and work tirelessly the bar staff at all bars are very friendly and professional as is the reception team always greeting you with a smile and always there to help if needed.The ladies in the main restaurant are also a credit to the hotel katerina always making conversation and greeting you with a smile on arrival as did all the other staff in the restaurant working very hard clearing tables and bringing drinks etc.There is a little shop onsite which sells everything you need and the lady is very pleasant .I would say our only gripe this year is the mind numbing music played endlessly by the dj round the pool, speaking with other guests they all felt the same it's an indescribable sound of trance like noise which brings no atmosphere around the pool and even though he's been asked to change his play list he refuses to do so and in my opinion and others he is playing to an audience of one and that's himself.

From the moment we arrived to leaving yesterday all 5 of us had a fantastic time Check in was quick , as we didn’t arrive till very late they had left some sandwiches and bananas in the mini fridge We had an amazing and friendly lady called Lola who cleaned and tided our rooms (1525 and 1527 ).We had clean towels and water every day The hotel staff were friendly and helpful wherever we went We had rooms overlooking the pool area , as people have said there is a small shop across the road and a bar/cafe but nothing else Some guests went into the town itself, there is also a shuttle bus from the courtyard to and from Rhodes No problem getting a sun bed of which there are plenty The pool is divided into large sections , with a pool bar in the middle The evening entertainment happens here but all goes quiet around midnight which is considerate for those of us with pool view We sat by the beach one evening listening to a couple playing music on a keyboard and guitar- they were brilliant Gorgeous sunsets over the beach Beach is very stony so with beach shoes we ventured into the sea , once we got over the pebbles it’s was sandy underfoot and lovely to swim in Food was fantastic and plenty for everyone, trays constantly being replenished Lots of options for all- the desserts were amazing Tried the Italian, Greek and the little ice cream booth and again really good The whole hotel and pool area were spotless No complaints but a few things to consider if going to this hotel We were 3 in one room - the extra bed was a single bed sofa bed - didn’t bother me - but you can apparently ask for a topper from reception There is a DJ playing music by the pool area in the afternoon- so if it’s not to your liking it can be annoying- it’s quieter by the beach Hotel under flight path but again not a problem, as you soon get used to it Would love to come back one day

Pros: - 4 restaurants, bakery & and Ice cream parlour to choose from. All were delicious (Even the buffet style food); our favourite had to be the Greek mains. - Attentive, responsive, and welcoming staff. We particularly enjoyed our interactions with your reception staff, cleaners and the bakery lady ( she was delightful to speak to) - Room cleanliness was spotless; so massive credit to the cleaners. Our fridge was always stocked with water bottles. - The pool area was beautiful. We loved how it looked, we loved the bar in the middle, we also loved how there was always sun loungers available when we wanted them (albeit we are early risers and got to the sun early). - Beach front was breathtaking. The beach bar had the best cocktails; Caribbean Candy & fantastic boyfriend cocktails were insane (these should be available everywhere). - Good evening entertainment (only on Thurs, Fri & Sat) we didn’t think the opera was a hit…. Doesn’t fit the vibe of the hotel…but guess there’s something for everyone. - Location to airport was ideal and transfer to Rhodes were easy to arrange. - Hotel shop was great. Some really lovely gifts and very friendly staff. - 12pm checkout is much better than we’ve experienced elsewhere. Cons: - no adult only zones. There were a few occasions where screaming kids and obnoxious parents ruined the tranquility from a busy life we sought after - Pool cleanliness. Whilst the pool was beautiful, there was a green slime border around the majority of the water line (particularly bad opposite the infinity pool) we did see the pool guy “clean” it daily…. I just don’t think what he’s doing is making any impact. - The steam room in the spa was dirty…. We couldn’t use it. - Whilst the transfer to Rhodes were easy to book, the company you use or promote are awful. There was nothing prestigious about prestige transfers, the bus was late, then took 20 mins to get 3 mins down the road… for the bus driver to tell us to change buses. No communication nothing. Pick up from Rhodes was awful…. It was chaotic, no organisation just people from all different hotels trying to push onto the buses. We would have expected a better transfer from a 5* hotel - The pool rule for Sunbed reservation before 10am was never enforced. We arrived at 8:30 every morning, and would watch people put towels down and not come back for another 2 to 3 hours…No staff member monitored this and we did see some disgruntled guests getting annoyed by not getting the more favourable loungers. All in all, we’d definitely recommend the hotel and will come back in the future.
