Alea Hotel Apartments

We have just returned from the Alea hotel our second year in a row. If you are thinking of booking this hotel do not hesitate they are fantastic. The rooms are very clean plenty of towel and beds always changed. Kettle cooking rings and fridge in the room. Air con worked great. The pool area is clean never a hassle to get a sun bed. Great bar serving snacks and other meals. The breakfast is great for 6 euros. Buffet serving meats cheeses cooked sausages. Bacon eggs, fruit cereal tea coffee. This is a family run hotel Nikky is very helpful and will make you stay perfect. The hotel is right in the centre of the shops restaurants but not noisy at all. Beach 10 mins walk away. Close to a little village with traditional taverns. The airport is 15 mins away 16 euros in a taxi. I booked direct with the hotel and could not complain about one thing. Thank you very much Nikky for making everything perfect. See you next year.

Alea is a very traditional Greek hotel. Rooms and balconies are spacious, and beds are very comfortable. The hotel is situated in the heart of Ialysos close to taverna’s and the beach, and convenient to catch the bus into Rhodes town. What makes the hotel special are the staff, who run the hotel in a very efficient manner, and are very friendly and always happy to have a chat, and give you information about the area. A very special thank you to all the staff who made our holiday memorable, particularly the lady on reception and the lovely ladies who kept our rooms spotless, and were very kind to us and always smiley. Great Hotel. No real problems, would go again. Town is lovely, we were greeted by a shopkeeper everyday as we walked to the beach, 5 mins down the street. Hotel was good to self cater with supermarket not far away. Worth the price and just what we wanted.

Great hotel staff brill location fab plenty of bars restaurants beach ⛱️ 6mins walk end of season now still quite busy this area shuts down end of Oct till may would recommend hotel and and area a mention to Nikki at reception can't do enough 👍👍

Just got back on Monday. It was a lovely traditional Greek hotel. Just what we expected. The only slight let down was that the pool area was mainly in the shade and felt quite enclosed. We were there for a fortnight and didn’t witness many people using it. There was no background music and no pool bar, although you could go in to the main hotel bar to order drinks/ snacks. Pool was also freezing. I you weren’t there for the pool scene and just want a good base for your holiday- look no further, it was a lovely place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large clean room and bathroom with shower over the bath. The hairdryer in our bathroom wasn’t working properly and only blew cool air. We had a good balcony at the front of the hotel, overlooking the countryside. Although we were above the street, we couldn’t hear anything once the patio door was closed. Air conditioning was 8 e a night but I found it was still needed at the start of October. The room had plenty of hanging and storage space and was serviced regularly. There was an airy, open plan bar/ cafe where we had breakfast every morning. It was a help yourself affair and the choice was decent enough for a Greek breakfast. We enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine coming through the huge glass doors which were always kept wide open. This area was also good for evening drinks/snacks. There are books of various languages to trade in reception, which we made use of. To summarise, we thought we’d made a good choice in picking this hotel and would like to thank the staff for making our 2 week holiday a good one.
