Kókkini Porta Rossa

We have traveled all over the world and this was one of the top 3 hotels we’ve visited. The impeccable service may have been slightly outdone by the 4-course Greek breakfasts. There is no nickel and diming for extra charges. All drinks, snacks, breakfasts, and even perfumes are included. I felt so comfortable here, I gave the owners a hug on my way out.

From the moment we walked into the door, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. Nikkos, Angela and Paris have created the highest level of boutique hotel with exceptional personalized experiences. We had a very short stay, so Nikkos made sure that we filled every moment with the tour highlights very efficiently. Returning after a busy day of touring, Paris was at the piano filling the lobby with his beautiful music, drinks and wine were available in the living room and conversation waiting in the atrium, if you wanted to share your excitement after the day. The included breakfast was a dining experience. The table was beautifully set and Julia provided excellent service with impeccable food. Our room was over the top. It was authentically and beautifully decorated with extra personal touches to make it feel more like a guest room than a hotel space. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Kókkini Porta Rossa. We will be returning to stay here again! Not only was the stay amazing, Nikkos took a personal interest in our visit. We were visiting Rhodes to see the land where my grandfather was born. After some conversation, Nikkos found family that I never knew that I had. Our trip turned into a family reunion of giant and emotional proportions for all. Thank you!!!!!!!

This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Rhodes. It’s a small, elegant boutique hotel with many thoughtful touches throughout. We had a room with a private courtyard, which we enjoyed very much. The location was excellent. The place is run by a very friendly, knowledgeable couple, who made suggestions every day about sites, restaurants and activities we might enjoy. I hadn’t known about many of these, and was grateful for the recommendations. Breakfast was delicious. We really loved this place and highly recommend it.

Our stay at Kokkini Porta Rossa in the old city of Rhodes was exceptional. The personal attention we received was beyond compare. The rooms and hotel were filled with artistic touches and books, making it feel both elegant and welcoming. We were treated to a delicious assortment of unique Greek liquors, and each breakfast was thoughtfully tailored to our tastes. Every day, the staff recommended wonderful sights to visit and added them to a custom app—so we were never lost! An unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Kokkini Porta Rossa is unique. It is within the walls of old Rhodes and is within a few minutes walking distance of all of the historical sites of Rhodes, including numerous restaurants and shops. Our suite was much more than we had expected, and decorated very tastefully matching the surroundings of historical Rhodes. Everything within is of a very high standard, and everything you may require is within the suite. Angela and Nikos, as well as all of their staff, are genuinely hospitable and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They have a great sense of humour. They will arrange trips, book restaurants, taxis, and give tips of how to make the most of your trip within the walls and outside the walls of old Rhodes. Their son - Paris - is there playing a grand piano situated in the reception area during the late afternoon/early evening, which is very relaxing. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

A truly very special place. You feel home from the very first moment you step into this house. The warm welcome by the owners, the beautiful and authentic interior design, the cozy courtyard, the piano player in the evening, the most charming room and all those other small, but very important details make of Kokkini Porta Rossa a very unique place to stay where you enjoy every second of it. Hospitality at its finest! We enjoyed our stay very much and wished to be able to stay longer. You don’t want to leave this place! We will be back, for sure, and next time a bit longer.
