Avalon Boutique Suites Hotel

The location in the old city was excellent & convenient for walking around. We stayed in the Cosmos suite which was great. A superb breakfast was changed up daily & served to you in their picturesque courtyard. The staff were extremely helpful & accommodating. The majority of taxis aren't allowed into the old part, however the staff would call those that could enter, to make transportation issues easy. Would recommend & return without hesitation.

Had an absolutely lovely time in this hotel. The staff were very pleasant. It is run by a Greek family, who stayed up late to check us in which was much appreciated. It is quite a small hotel and therefore there weren't too many people staying there, and was very nice in the mornings having breakfast in the peace and quiet. The breakfast was served to us each day by the staff and was not a buffet breakfast. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed trying new Greek food each day which is something we might not have done had it been buffet style. The rooms air conditioning was amazing especially when coming out of the 30 - 35 degree heat, it stayed nice and cool all day long. The room we stayed in was exceptional, it had its very own unique character, a TV, a shared terrace overlooking a beautiful tree. It is the perfect location centered in the Old Town right of the famous Street of the Knights and only a very short distance up the street from the Palace of the Grand Master, which is definitely worth a visit. Fabulous restaurants are scattered all across the Old Town in very close proximity to the hotel. I would recommend the Zebrano All Day Cafe Restaurant which has great quality food and is right at the bottom of the street from the hotel tucked away in the corner by the Old Town entrance. Would 100% come back again.

Staff 10/10, kind and availble for everything, big flexible breakfast 10/10 also for lactose free people, service 10/10, clean and new rooms with balcony, position 10/10, big Jacuzzi in the rooftop

Booked this hotel and cancelled my reservation due to being able to travel during the pandemic and the owner would not return my money. I hope that the owner does not do this to other guests. Very dishonest!

What a gorgeous hotel! We stayed here on our first time visit to Greece and the hotel did not disappoint! The hotel is located in the Old Town and is a tucked away gem! The hotel grounds are impeccable; beautiful landscaping highlight the very beautiful courtyard where breakfast is offered daily. There's also a restaurant on the premises. The included breakfast is sumptuous to say the least! On our first day, we sat at a medium sized table for breakfast and was asked to move to a larger table by the attendant because the smaller table was not big enough to hold all of the breakfast dishes! They offered traditional Greek fare, fruit, eggs, pastries, assorted jams including honey, assorted bread, etc., easily a breakfast for five people! The Cosmo suite we reserved was breathtaking with gorgeous amenities! The room is huge with a living room area, dining area and a large screen TV (there was also a TV in the bedroom). The bathroom is HUGE! It has a jacuzzi tub and a very large shower stall. The room was attended to daily. Additionally, the room has a table and chairs just outside the door, sitting in front of the quiet Courtyard where you can sit and have coffee in the evening framed by the fantastic Courtyard! The hotel is walking distance to a great restaurants and shopping district right within the walled city. Elli Beach is a 20-minute walk, private and you can rent beach beds for the day. The beach is adjacent to a wonderful restaurant. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel where you will be treated like royalty!

Excellent location in the Old Town, managing to be both central and very quiet at the same time. Friendly staff. Room, a suite as all 6 are, was large and generally well equipped. Air conditioning works well. The major downside is the very low, about 30cm, otherwise very comfortable bed. Unless you are young and very fit it is quite difficult to get out of, particularly for the necessary toilet visit during the night. Why someone thought this a good idea I just don’t know. There is a large Jacuzzi bath, but we didn’t use it. Just felt wrong in a place that struggles for water. Unfortunately the placement of the shower over the bath means it is difficult to stand directly under it. I think the money spent on such a bath would have been much better spent on a decent fitted shower, however that is a personal opinion, and others may disagree. Breakfast is simple but adequate, and when its fine served in the delightful courtyard. If we were ever to come back to Rhodes, we would love to stay here again, but I’m afraid the ridiculously low bed would stop us doing so.
