Golden Days

Stayed here again for last two weeks off September, had a great time , bingo was organised by Jackie, one off the guests , people have to remember this is 2 star hotel , rooms are cleaned every day and beds made , sheets and towels changed every couple off days , most off the rooms have now been upgraded with new bathrooms etc but there are a few off the older self catering rooms left but not for much longer. Pool cleaned every day and didn't have to fight for a sunbed . Loads of great restaurants close by , makalies was our favourite main meals about 10 euro each plus drinks , and great food .

Horrible place, first holiday in 7 years and it was not good. Very dirty, people working in hotel ignorant, very expensive to eat or drink in the village and only food at the hotel is toasted sandwich, I’m gluten free, no help from staff, not interested unless it’s for taking your money. Beds and towels not changed the whole week we were there, no toilet roll supplied! No fan in bathroom, €8 a night extra for air con, only one side of pool got sun all day, but the umbrellas are concreted in so can’t move around freely. The people on holiday there were amazing, but I’m disabled, was to leave the room by 11am, not getting picked up till 6 pm, wouldn’t let us stay in our room, only toilet was down tiled stairs which I couldn’t manage. Only for the generosity of a fellow traveller it would have been a nightmare. Avoid as it’s a false economy holiday!

An excellent family hotel, located in Afandou. The rooms and the bathrooms were nice and clean, with modern designs. It has a very large and spacious swimming pool. It is located at a 10 minute walk away from the beach. Definitely recommend it!

Booked my first ever solo trip and was a little apprehensive about going alone. I really needn’t have worried. This, small run family hotel fully embraced me and I often spent evenings talking to them all. The family feel was felt throughout all customers too. We became quite a big ‘holiday’ family. The room was perfect, air con essential at 8 Euros but worth every Penny. Pool small but certainly did the job. Afandou itself is quite a quiet, restaurant/bar village so if you are after nightlife you could catch a bus later in the day. Not too far a walk from the beach. Good around the village incredible. Would highly recommend. All staff were top tier and I would return for certain.

Very basic as expected, what we didn't expect was the dirty rusty appliances, stained sheets and dirty smelly bathroom. We stayed for 10 days and not once we're the bins emptied or floors cleaned. Some sockets were hanging off the walls & most didnt work .The owners wife who checked us in was rude and unhelpful and never wanted to speak to us. We were made to feel very unwelcome and stayed away for as long as possible the last few days of our trip. The area itself was nice away from the hotel and we recommend hiring a buggy to get to the beach with nice eating areas

Awful place, dirty- cracked tiles- old fashioned & depressing, staff & female owner very rude and abrupt she shouted at my 14 year old daughter and put her hand to her face and told her to shut up when she asked for something. One friend had no pillows on his bed for 5 days after repeated promises. Sheets stained, rusty fridge, plug sockets handing off walls dangerous for the kids, Even some locals who owned bars laughed when we told them where we was staying. So Avoid this place.
