Great place to stay and explore the area, Paul the owner was very friendly, off road parking, good breakfast and room was very clean, I even booked a extra nights stay! I would happily book a room again. what more could I say. Local attractions, mountain pass towards Devils Bridge, good views of reservoirs and dams, Red Kite feeding centre

Booked a 3 night stay to visit the redkites feeding sites nearby. We were welcomed and given useful information about other photography opportunities from the ones we had researched and local places to eat out. We booked the downstairs twin room as a door opens up to a pleasant courtyard. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious. Thanks Paul and Laura, we really enjoy our time at your guesthouse.

We stayed at The Horseshoe guesthouse for 3 nights in July 2024. The guest house was clean and tidy, breakfast was great and Paul and Laura were super friendly. A real pleasure and if we travel back to the Elan Valley we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our room was a big double with an en-suite. The guesthouse is nice and central with Rhayader (not that the town is massive!) and is in easy striking distance of Elan Valley and other local attractions. Recommended.

I stayed here for 1 night the hotel itself is very clean and well presented and Paul (The proprietor of the hotel) was very polite and accommodating the hotel is very close to the town centre without being too close my room (5) although a medium sized room was very clean and excellently presented

Stayed for the third year running at Royal Welsh show week. The accommodation is first class in a lovely old style building. Good parking facilitate at the front. Breakfasts are good and Paul is a friendly helpful host. An excellent stop off place when in the area. Have booked to return for a fourth year.

After a mix up at another hotel, we managed to book in here at short notice. So glad we did. Great location in the town centre and very friendly and helpful host. Parking on site. Breakfast was very good too.

Very warm welcome on arrival. Room very clean. Breakfast cooked to order - Very Good. Location brilliant for us. Car parking on site. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again if we visit this area again.

Stopped here for a short break touring on our bikes used it as a base as it was central Wales. Value for money lovely cooked breakfast with a full selection of options cereals fruit etc. Paul the host could not do enough for our group all i can say is Fantastic we will be back.

We had such a lovely stay at the Horseshoe. The bed was wonderful, the room was large and comfortable, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was delicious every time. Paul was so kind and thoughtful in helping us figure out where to go and how to get there. Rhayader is wonderful and everyone was so welcoming we didn't want to leave! I can't say enough good things about it! We will definitely be coming back.
