we chose Alba Guesthouse for our first night in Reykjavik, included breakfast was one of the reasons and it didn't disappoint, room was very big with a small sink for morning routines, pretty clean overall, staff very friendly, totally recommend

We recently spent 10 delightful days at Alba Guesthouse and were thoroughly impressed by the experience. Here's a summary of what made our stay so memorable: Great Value for Money: The guesthouse offered excellent value for the price, making it a fantastic choice for our extended stay. Fresh Breakfast: Each morning, we enjoyed a breakfast with always-fresh products. The pancakes were mine personal favorite! Comfortable Accommodations: Our room was cleaned daily, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. Outstanding Hosts: The true highlight of Alba Guesthouse was the hosts. They were incredibly kind and attentive, addressing any issues promptly. When our flight was delayed, the host welcomed us at 3:00 a.m. without any fuss. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly valued and at home. Overall, the constant sense of being welcomed significantly enhanced our stay. We are grateful for the wonderful experience and look forward to returning to Alba Guesthouse on our next visit to Iceland.

We arrived on an early flight from the USA. The owner offered to store our luggage until check-in time but refused to allow us to sit and wait in the lounge. We just sat in the car outside until we could check-in! The room was comfortable and the breakfast was adequate but customer service was not as good as we received at other lodgings in Iceland.

A dreadful experience. The most shabby place I have ever stayed. When I walked out of the front door for the last time I was so happy. Tiny bedroom. Shared unkept shower / toilet room. Towels not changed . Bed not made. Dreadful atmosphere. I could go on and on with cticism. People say breakfast was great. All I can say is that they must be used to low standards. I can't think of anything positive to say about this place

The hosts of Alba guest house were very helpful and kind. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable and warm and provides a fabulous breakfast. It is in walking distance of connecting bus routes and down town Reykjavik. There is space to park your hire car.

Alba Guesthouse was a great choice for our visit! It was clean, comfortable, affordable, and offered a great breakfast every morning which was very cost saving for our trip. The hostess made fresh bread every morning that was delicious. The beds were comfortable and warm, and it was quiet at night and easy to sleep. The hostess was extremely helpful and caring, even giving my husband a dry pair of boots for the day after his boots got soaked on a glacier hike. It was obvious that she was passionate about her work and wanted everyone to have a quality experience. She even alerted us to a volcanic eruption that happened so that we could walk up the hill and view it from the Perlan Museum. We were all safe, and it was a once in a lifetime experience we would have otherwise missed. It was conveniently located within 4 minute walk to Bus Hostel Terminal where Airport Direct Buses and Bus Tours Iceland operates. It was also only a 20 minute walk to the church in the heart of downtown. You can’t find a better place than this! I highly recommend Alba Guesthouse!
