Upon check-in, we were assigned a ground-floor room with old, dirty carpets and a window that opened directly to a parked car’s wheels. The room felt more like a repurposed function space—big, old, dirty, and impractical. When we requested a room change, we were told the hotel was fully booked. However, a quick check on Trip.com showed multiple available rooms. When we brought this up again, the hotel claimed that Trip.com’s availability was inaccurate. Seeking clarification, we contacted Trip.com’s customer support, who informed us that the hotel had not received any request for a room change—despite us insisting that we had made one.
The next day, we were finally given the clean, newly renovated room we had originally booked. The hotel seems to discriminate against Asians. They want your money but will give you the worst room in the category you booked.
