Mythos Suites Boutique Hotel

Having researched where best to stay in Rethymnon, we concluded that somewhere in, or close to, the old town was a good option … and we eventually decided that the Mythos Suites best suited our needs. We were delighted with our choice. It was an easy 15-minute walk from the nearby bus station (although we did get a little lost for a few minutes towards the very end, because the hotel is discreetly located at the end of a short side street …!). The location is excellent – just a few minutes’ walk to the seafront through the delights of the old town, and not much further to the Fortezza citadel on a hill overlooking the sea. The hotel is clean, compact, peaceful, and well designed. Room service was efficiently done to a high standard. We particularly enjoyed the local flavours of the breakfast each morning, with fresh orange juice, fruit salads, cereals, yoghurt, various hams, cheeses, breads, cakes and more. A personal touch was added by the owners of the hotel – Eirini and her mother – who were both friendly and helpful, and who quietly ensured that everything ran smoothly, efficiently and professionally. If ever we return to Rethymnon, we would be happy to stay here again.

Lovely little hotel. It's a small boutique hotel, a family business. The rooms are beautiful. It seems it is a very old building, renovated in recent years. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old town, but in a quiet tiny street. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We had a very pleasant stay!

We actually booked in the Mythos Residence which is a separate two bedroom apartment next door to the hotel . What a great stay we had.. it is centrally located, very well appointed and has everything (except a pool!) that one would need. It is unfortunately not serviced daily but the apartment has a dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience . The manager was so friendly and kind during our stay.
