Atrium Ambiance Hotel

In June, we were on vacation at the Atrium Ambiance Hotel. The hotel is perfect, the staff are always helpful, they do whatever you ask of them. All rooms are great, new, comfortable, clean. The food is also great, and location is prefect, very close to the beach. The staff is very friendly, communicative, pleasant to talk to. Many kisses to Eva and Maria from Dragana and Danijela, and just to let them know that we are coming in September as well. See you soon!

This was our fourth holiday in Rethymno and the hotel was the best one so far. Modern, elegant and cosy. Close to the beach and old town. We went to Olli restaurant beach where you get free sunbeds with drinks. They (2 sunbeds + umbrella) are €7-€8 elsewhere. We had superior room with pool view. It was quiet and cool - no need for air-con at night. Rooms are spacious, elegant and cleaned daily. Fresh beach towels are provided every day. Great variety of food breakfast and dinner. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Special thanks to Evagelia who was always smiling, kind and helpful. Hope to go back soon!

We arrived here after a night flight and a long bus ride from Heraklion Airport. We were both tired, and there was also a bit of confusion at check-in. We kind of thought things felt a little cold, but it eventually got better. We brought up our concerns, and the receptionist was understanding. The hotel manager also made efforts to turn things around. At lunch, we received extra food options and free drinks, which we considered kind and welcoming. We also mentioned a small issue in the room (a broken shower head), and it was fixed within a couple of hours. The staff showed they cared and really wanted us to have a good time. We would now consider coming back here.

We arrived early in the morning after a night flight and a 3-hour transfer, hoping for a warm welcome. Unfortunately, we were met with a cold attitude at reception. While breakfast was still being served and we had booked all-inclusive, we were asked to pay €10 per person to access it. No effort was made to accommodate us, unlike our previous experiences at similar hotels in Greece. It is now past 11 AM and we still haven’t received our room, despite arriving before 10. Communication and hospitality were clearly lacking. Hoping the rest of the stay will be better, but this was a disappointing start.

Great hotel. Breakfast had a wide variety of foods. Location perfect near the beach and the old town. The hotel was well kept and clean. Would recommend this! The beds were comfy and room was spacious. Bathroom had his and hers sinks which was very nice.

Check-in Warm welcome, very quick and efficient. Cold water in fridge in room with some biscuits and a bottle of wine. Staff Staff were lovely and such hard workers. Parking We hired a car and used the free street parking. It could be a struggle to find a spot at times but always managed. Room Very clean, fresh, modern. Robes and towels were a great addition. Beds slightly too hard for our liking but comfortable enough. Air conditioning was fantastic. Minimal noise from outside as our balcony faced the street. Breakfast and Dinner Very impressed, no complaints. I avoid dairy and there was plenty options for me. Lovely to sit outside! Food was very fresh and local, we are healthier eaters so felt catered for. Pool area and pool bar No issue getting sun beds, plenty shaded options. Lovely pool and very clean. Bar had a great selection of drinks. A few more small plate options would be appreciated on the menu. Portions were generous so good value for money. Sun bed towels provided. A bit annoying for non-smokers as there’s often no escape from cigarette smoke at times but it’s a personal complaint and I’m sure fine for most people. Check-out We have a late checkout but could keep our bags in a locked room and use pool facilities until we needed to leave. We used the shower in the gym to freshen up before leaving. Extra notes: We were very happy with our stay and would 100% return and recommend to friends and family. The location was absolutely perfect. We could be at the beach in one minute.
