This is our fourth visit to this lovely hotel, which I hope tells you something! It’s a very friendly hotel which offers everything this middle-aged couple needs and nothing we don’t, so is very good value for money. If only we knew of it when our children were younger as it is very well suited for young families. It’s quiet, immaculately clean and one of the closest hotels to the city centre that has a good sized pool to get some lengths in to work off all that delicious Greek food (necessary when the wind picks up and the red flags are raised on the beach!) amongst the children’s pools. We will be back to see you again next year Gregory and team!

Fabulous hotel had a wonderful time. Greeted at reception with some food when we arrived in case we were hungry which I thought was a lovely touch. Smooth check in and given directions to our room which was easy to get to. Lift up to our room was great too Room was lovely. We stayed in a studio (2 adults & 2 children) it had two single beds pushed together, bunk bed, small kitchen, table, bathroom, dressing table, wardrobe and balcony - everything we would need for a week self catering! 3 pools to choose from we tried all of them and the kids loved them all - octopus pool was the right age for mine (4&8) but wouldn’t be for any older. Not much entertainment wise which is fine for us as we generally go out in the evenings anyway and made our own entertainment around the pool. Other hotels we’ve stayed at have had someone doing things throughout the day water aerobics, water polo etc so maybe this could’ve been good even just once a day because at the same time it was nice not to be bothered by an animation team constantly! Apartment and all around the hotel was very clean so an excellent job the cleaners/maintenance team do! The food we had on site was very tasty, we preferred the pool side bar near octopus and jasmine but both served very nice Greek dishes. We ate out the rest of the time because the hotel is so close to restaurants, bars and shops. 2 minute walk and you’re close to so many places! Excellent location in fact I’ve not had a better location at any other hotel with a similar budget to what I paid. Well done ibiscos garden we certainly hope to return in the future!

Ibiscos Garden hotel Very friendly and service minded staff members! + The Palm pool always had sun beds available. All three pool areas were pleasant to use. The gardening felt so exotic and lovely to be around. The staff has got a good level of English. The hotel convenient store had basically EVERYTHING you would need (and more) and the staff was wonderful! Breakfast was good. Lunch was okay but a bit repetitive. Under cooked chunky french fries with basically every meal, which we grew tired of after just a few days. We asked for replacements but it was apparently difficult to swap the side for something else. Drinks were tasty but the booze was the cheap kind. (Sierra tequila anyone? Better used for washed fluid in your car). Fun activities such as live bands, dance shows, magician show, mascot hugging, etc. Kids friendly hotel by all means! Good air conditioning! Good WiFi, except a bit dodgy around the main pool and restaurant. Plenty of available seats around the lobby, bar and restaurant. Nice and tidy too. - Sleeping in was impossible as the walls were paper thin. All morning preparations and cleaning done by the staff near the pool, outside our patio and in the corridors woke us up truly every morning. Our hotel room (307) was located just next to the housekeepings staff room. Every morning at 6:50 we woke up from their loud chatting right outside our door. I asked the front desk to speak to the housekeepers about it and it got a little bit better but still not good. The hotel rooms were fine I guess but dated. Our family sized hotel room had merely three power outlets in total and none by the beds, suggesting the age of the rooms to be 20+ years. Charging all phones and tablets had to be done creatively. Bring a power bank. Our hotel room had a patio where the hotel had placed a big pot for a public ashtray. Meaning, cigarette smoke was included with our entire stay. The housekeeper cleaning was fair but not great. The restrooms by the pools were sometimes really nasty, and paper towels, toilet paper and hand soap often ran out. And let’s talk about the bar. I cannot believe how inefficient the service was! The Happy hour was between 6-7 pm. Two staff members working. One to mix the drinks and the other to clean up and manage the payments. But the bartender would still have to pause in between every order to notify the other one on what was to be paid for. Both in front of the cash register. The result? A massive queue and lead time of at least 10-15 min to get your drink. I was skipped in line, and when I said it was my turn to order, I got eye balled. I’ve been working as a bartender and I’ve ordered drinks in quite a few bars before, but never have I seen such an inefficient way of running the bar. Two staff members could easily serve drinks and manage the payment themselves and keep all customers happy. More drinks would likely be sold, faster, and people would be happier. Some side notes. Be prepared for very loud cicad

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Ibiscos Garden hotel. We stayed in a one bedroomed apartment so we had plenty of space for the two of us. Comfortable beds, room was immaculate, and small touches that make a difference, soap dispensers by bathroom washbasin and kitchen sink, shampoo dispenser in the shower, washing up sponge in the kitchen. WiFi was good throughout our stay. There are three pools, two main ones and a dedicated children's pool. We only used the Palm pool which was lovely, not too cold, and always had a plentiful supply of sunbeds even in the middle of the day. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best at all the hotels we've been to. Hot items such as bacon, eggs, etc, warm croissants and other pastries, cereals, cake, great selection of fresh fruit, cooked meats, cheese, lots of bread choices, dried fruits, nuts, fresh oranges to squeeze for juice, hotplate to make your own pancakes from the supplied mixture (a highlight with me). There was also a gluten free section of various items. I gave really missed the delicious breakfasts since I came home. Location is good, literally about a 3 minte walk to the beach, or 5 minutes if you prefer a quieter spot away from the hundreds of sunbeds. We found a quiet area between two sunbed areas, there was only us and a couple of other people there. The sea is beautiful, clean and warm, although on a couple of days there were some huge waves and there class a red flag one day restricting access. There are numerous bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, and many more all along the seafront towards and beyond the harbour and the old town. There's so much to see within a short walk, the harbour, the beautiful old town, the venetian fortezza. We had a wonderful week's holiday in this beautiful city and fantastic hotel. The only very small criticism is that there weren't many electrical sockets, none by the beds, in fact only one in the bedroom. When we wanted to plug in the kettle the only socket near the kitchen area meant the lead hung down across the front of the sink, this would have been dangerous with young children. However this didn't detract from our enjoyment, we had a perfect stay and would wholeheartedly recommend Ibiscos Garden.

Stayed here as a family of 4 in August 2024 (55,51,18 and 12). Had a great holiday here. Facilities; 2 large pools to choose from. We we mostly to the main one as the other one all the beds were always taken very early. The main one we always found a couple of beds. We stayed self catering but did eat in the restaurant and it was very nice. The pool area is very clean and well looked after, it can get busy at times however it was always nice and too over crowded. The bar area is lovely and the staff very welcoming at bar and all over the hotel. Greek night; Highly recommend booking this, it is great show. Food is perfect for us as my daughter has allergies and can be fussy and normally Greek nights is a selected menu - however it was great as could order off main menu as usual. We did also pre-book another Greek night before we went on holiday to Poliou House and we highly recommend this - it is about 20 minutes in taxi which hotel arranged and then the restaurant arranged taxi back - such lovely authentic feel and mountain food. Rooms; rooms were basic but very clean and cleaned every day, we stayed comfortable with no issues. Balcony was huge! Location; good location - about 20 minutes walk along the flat prom to centre with all bars and restaurants along the way. Good supermarket on site with large variety of items and reasonably priced. When you come out the hotel and turn right keep walking and there is a large supermarket and just down from that is a chemist should you need it. Parasailing on the beach well worth it, I did this with my son and we loved it. Don't let the sea deceive you though as the current/waves can be strong on some days. Had a great holiday with lots of lovely memories. If there was one thing to suggest which is not major would be more entertainment in the hotel. Also we like watching live music and most/ all bars were music in the background with no live music as such - but that is nothing major just our opinion.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean . Can be a bit noisy and we did move rooms because of this. There is also a busy road at the front of the hotel. We did enjoy our stay and everything is within easy reach. Good bar prices and even better in happy hour. Little shop on site was vey useful.

Just returned from 2 weeks staying at Ibiscos with a friend. We had booked for Stalis but were offered Ibiscos after the accommodation fell through. That turned out to be a lucky happening as we loved Ibiscos and Rethymnon! We were in room 733 a spacious studio with balcony in the shade which was great because we could use during the peak heat of the day. Everything was spotless, cleaners do a great job. Good quality fridge, toaster and kettle and enough crockery and utensils to make a snack. Nice pool in our block - it did get busy and there was the usual towels on beds with no-one using for hours but we always managed to get a bed. The hotel is in an excellent location with supermarkets, the beach and bars/restaurants within 5 minutes. We walked into city and Old Town a number of times it was about a mile but on a wide path running alongside the beach. We had one of our best holidays ever and would definitely go back.

We have just returned home from 2 wonderful weeks at Ibiscos garden hotel. We were greeted with a warm reception on arrival after quite a long transfer from the airport. We were a family of four with 2 teenage boys (17 yrs and 15yrs) and our room had plenty of room. The bunk bed in our room for our boys was very comfy (our eldest son is 6ft 2!). The room had everything we needed for our stay. Loved having a coffee machine so we could make a coffee in the morning. The air conditioning unit was really good plus a ceiling fan. After being on the beach in 34c heat all day to come back to a cool room was really nice. We were just above the bar area which was a great location. The hotel is so clean and tidy. Every day we returned to our room housekeeping had been in and emptied bins etc. The main restaurant in the hotel had a great menu and we enjoyed quite a few evening meals. Greek night was a lot of fun. Every Monday night they had a live band perform near the pool/bar area. They were so good. The location was perfect with the beach only 5 minutes away which went on for miles. The TUI rep Mina was really helpful and recommended we hired a car to explore the Southern part of Crete during our stay. The experiencing of hiring a car through TUI was so easy and stress free. We are really glad we did it. We drove to Sfakion and then took a boat to Loutro which is beautiful. We enjoyed a light lunch then headed to the flat rocky area which was a great area to swim and go snorkeling. The water is cooler in the South but is crystal clear to see all the lovely fish. We got to visit a lot of places in the South and really recommend hiring a car. We also did a few other trips. We went on the boat Captain Hook and enjoyed swimming and snorkeling off the boat. The crew were so nice. Lunch provided was delicious. We would definitely visit this hotel again. The staff are so lovely and friendly it meant we had the most lovely family holiday.
