Brit Hotel Aux Sacres Reims Centre

I don't normally write a review like this and it doesn't reflect in any way on the receptionists who greeted us and tried to help. We asked for a room with a bath when booking. The price was more than we had paid for a standard room, but everything is expensive in Reims, so I accepted it. There was an enormous teddy bear with stained clothing sitting menacingly on a sofa in reception and the breakfast area looked unappealing so we cancelled our breakfast for the morning. The room looked tired. Although the bed was absolutely fine, and very clean with cotton sheets, there was a bit of fake snakeskin remnant laid across the foot of the bed to create a sense of 'style', I think. It seemed a bit odd. We then discovered that the curtains didn't close properly at the sides so the light came pouring in. When we came to take a bath, it was apparent that the plug didn't fit. I called reception and the night receptionist was very apologetic. She came up with two other plugs, neither of which fitted, and so we could not use the bath. We then discovered that the plug in the sink did not close either, in fact (despite the helpful, slightly peeling sticker on the wall showing you how to push it down) did not even move, as though glued into place. As I was looking at it, I realised that the sink was full of beard bristles and that it and the bath were dirty. The veneer around the sink was missing in places and cracked. The walls are also very thin and there was no ventilation in the bathroom or the loo - or rather, it didn't work. The next morning I did get a discount of 10 Euros and they waived the parking fee (15 euros for the night). When I mentioned the state of the sink I was told that the hotel was being renovated but one room at a time. I pointed out that they should have told me this when I booked and offered us a renovated or at least, cleaned room. I think this hotel is the French version of the Brittania hotels in the UK. Avoid at all costs.

We did not expect a lot from this hotel. We got the smallest of rooms with poor shower and poor toilet but working a/c. The room was really quiet and the staff was nice. The breakfast is a joke, I'm sorry. A grown-up can easily manage here for one night but if you want to enjoy, go somewhere else.

First the good points - it is situated in the middle of Reims and the staff are friendly and helpful. Other than that it has nothing to recommend it. The common parts are shabby as was our bedroom which was also tiny without tea or coffee making facilities. The bathroom was also tiny and the pressure in the shower was woeful. And it wasn’t cheap.

A very tired and poorly presented hotel. Unfortunately I never took any photos but our room looked NOTHING like the rooms featured. Cramped conditions, uneven floors, in desperate need of decoration and not that clean. This is very basic accommodation, not worth the money charged. In fact I would not stay here again even if it was half the price. Hotel rooms should be welcoming and relaxing, this was neither!

The staff was kind, the Hotel is reachable in few minutes walking both by the station and by the city center. The building outside is nice, however the interior needs a complete restoration. Our room wasn’t spacious, we had only one night table light and the bathroom was ... to restore. The common spaces were neglected and it is a great sin because I believe the structure has a real potential. The breakfast was of a standard quality and despite I had informed them I couldn't eat gluten, in place of bread, sweets and cake I have had only corn cakes.

Unser Zimmer war in der 4. Etage. Dachflächenfenster- geöffnet sehr laut!!! Schlafen fiel uns schwer bei den lauten Geräuschen von der Straße. Nicht nur die Autos, sondern auch Menschen die laut sprechen!! Der Teppich ist sehr abgenutzt!! Die Bilder der Hotelseite entsprechen nicht der Realitöt. Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Stelle mir den Einstieg für ältere Menschen schwierig vor. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu Wünschen übrig!! Flecken an der Decke usw. Toilette separat, jedoch sehr klein!!! Wenn man etwas größer ist, läuft man Gefahr sich eine Beule am Kopf einzufangen beim Aufstehen!!! Das ganze Zimmer bedarf einer Grundsanierung!! Auch das Frühstück entspricht nicht den Bildern der Website!!! Vorteilhaft: es gibt einen Kaffeeautomat der z.B.Cappuccino u.ä.zubereitet. Baguette und Croissant haben wir in Reims schon wesentlich bessere gegessen. Das Personal war sehr nett, aber dennoch war dieser Aufenthalt für uns sehr enttäuschend und würden dieses Hotel keinem unsere Freunde empfehlen. Wir werden es auch nicht mehr buchen.Die Lage ist ziemlich zentral.

Albergo nel cuore della città di Reims, con possibilità di parcheggio in strada o all’hotel de ville (pagando € 20/giorno). La struttura da fuori è anche carina ma le stanze (almeno quelle del 4 piano) sono piuttosto terrificanti: ricavate in un sottotetto semi-abitabile, uno dei letti costringeva ad abbassarsi per entrarci. Il bagno era minuscolo, con il wc separato in un’altra stanzetta. La sala della colazione è in realtà la reception, con qualche tavolo accanto al buffet scarso e di qualità piuttosto bassa. Se possibile, evitate ed andate altrove: a Reims per la stessa cifra c’è sicuramente di meglio.

Je vous invite vivement à venir l’ hôtel aux Sacres à Reims. Au préalable, je vous recommande de réserver la chambre 10 ! Prévoyez un masque anti odeur, anti microbe et si vous êtes clostro car pas de fenêtre donnant sur l’extérieur et permettant de l’air frais, Optez pour un masque à oxygène. Faites comme nous, changez de chambre et bien sûr refuser de payer 35€ de plus ! Regardez de près l’ état des WC de la chambre 26 … Enfin pour le petit déjeuner frais, maison et produits locaux (voir infos sur le site) je vous conseille d’aller la veille acheter vous même vos croissants, pains aux chocolats etc… Cet établissement est une honte pour la profession, et les informations sur le site internet de la chaîne Brit sont mensongères. A fuir absolument !!!
