Lovely facility, nice rooms, good breakfast, and the folks at the front desk were real nice. When I went to check out I was told they they do not accept cash for payment. I asked why and was told that it's a "liability issue." I suggested they let management/ownership know that they need to re-think their policy as I'm likely not the only guest who prefers cash to credit cards. They replied that I wasn't the first, and "if they were to pass along your comments, I would be laughed out of the meeting." (Imagine that) As I sat in the lobby drinking coffee, every second person checking out had an issue with their quoted room rate. I'll be checking out tomorrow. (fingers crossed) Nice place, but the no cash policy means that I won't be coming back, sadly I suspect that won't mean a thing to Hampton's ownership at this location. Still 4 stars out of what would have been a 5 star review.
