We traveled to Red Wing to view the fall leaves and sites. This place is very nice and very clean. Welcoming front desk. Very Quiet.Excellent shower. Nice quick breakfast! We would definitely stay again if traveling this way and recommend staying here!

Front desk employees were friendly. Bathroom was a little outdated but everything was clean. We had a room that looked out over the lobby so it was we could hear people coming and going and it was loud when everyone started going down for breakfast in the morning. It was in a convenient location and within walking distance of a couple of good restaurants and the brewery.

There's not too much fancy here, although the morning breakfast had nice options. Things are simple and probably a little old, but everything was clean and comfortable. Even though it is right on the highway, we were not bothered by the noise of the traffic.

I was very pleased with my stay here. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was updated, clean and quiet. It was walking distance from a couple of restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Nice clean room and decently priced. Staff very friendly - manager gave us a great deal on our room, and receptionist gave us a fantastic food recommendation (Kelly's, for anyone interested). Despite the hotel being near a main road, we had no issues of noise and slept great. Breakfast was good but no cooked breakfast options, though this was not an issue for us.

Very nice small hotel in a small town. Very attractive and welcoming lobby. A king size bed was not available when we reserved so we stayed in a double. Our room was very clean and spacious despite having two beds. The general manager was enthusiastic, friendly and helpful while being at the desk at check-in and check-out. The breakfast was barely adequate and the eating space was small with only 4 tables. However, this did not detract since it was otherwise top notch. Definitely would recommend this hotel for people staying in Red Wing.

I stayed at the Nichols with my ninety year old mother for 15 days during a family crisis. They made every effort to make our stay a pleasant one. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance to the scenic Mississippi, the Cannon Valley bike trail, and historic downtown Red Wing. It is clean, smells good and they offer a simple breakfast.
