Lovely location , nice jungle and Mountain View , poorly trained staff , no air condition , no TV if you in rainy season nothing to do you’ll feel boring . Parth way to rooms are not maintained properly . Food what they are serving like leftover stuff no taste at all ( said cuttlefish but they gave dry cuttlefish cannot eat very salty ) they’ll give what they want , they are not keen to fulfill guests requirements. Not value for money. Will not recommend this property. Chef is good for dish washers job. I’m 100% sure that the property manager along with chef will help the Owner to close down business quickly. So sad

We had a great stay at Tree House Chalets. Beautiful atmosphere enjoyed the bird nest and trekking trail in the premises. Also really appreciate the naturalists help on learning how to use telescope. They offer many activities as well. Waterfall watching, village tours , bakers bend etc. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Keep up the good work. Planning to visit again.

The view is great, sadly thats where it all ends. There is no air conditioning in any of the rooms, it was extremely stuffy in the middle of August with very poor air circulation. Carpenter and fire ants kept crawling into the suites en masse via the bathroom drain line due to lack of drain traps. Food was an absolute joke, for SriLankan breakfast, was served 5 string hopers with 3/8 of a roti. The price is extremely high for what you get. Do your due diligence before you book, as there are many options out there that offer much more for what you pay.

I booked this hotel expecting a luxury eco escape, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The rooms have no A/C or proper ventilation, making nights extremely hot and uncomfortable. Perhaps it’s only manageable during cooler months. The food was another letdown — while the presentation looked nice, the taste was terrible. There’s nothing particularly exciting or unique about the property to justify the high price, and it’s definitely not kid-friendly. Overall, this place is not worth the money. Do your research carefully before booking.

We stayed at the Tree House Chalet in Belihuloya for our second honeymoon, looking forward to a unique and memorable experience. Overall, the food was good, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, which made us feel welcome. However, despite opting for the more expensive chalet to enhance our experience, there were several issues that unfortunately detracted from our stay. Firstly, the chalet didn’t have air conditioning, which made it difficult for us to sleep comfortably, especially in the warm weather. Additionally, we had expected a tantra bed as advertised, but this was not available in the chalet. We also faced issues with the hot water system, which didn’t work properly, so we couldn’t use the tub as we had planned. One of the most concerning problems was with the door key – it couldn’t be removed from the outside of the door, which left my wife feeling uneasy and worried about security. Considering the price we paid for this experience, we didn’t feel it was worth it given the lack of amenities and some discomforts. I believe there’s room for improvement, especially for those paying a premium for a “better” experience.
