Hotel Giulio Cesare

Very comfortable hotel in ideal position for an attractive, short walk, into town. Very good breakfast with friendly and efficient staff. People on reception went extra mile to help us when the next hotel on trip cancelled our booking. Wonderful views from terrace. No hesitation in recommending.

GOOD THe location Day reception staff BAD The tiny room, we were told that we had been upgraded, so I shudder to think about the size of our original room. The noise of the water system kept us awake all night. The wine was awful, and when we complained, we were ignored. The whole hotel is very old-fashioned and in need of updating some of the bedding looks like it was from the 1970s. On-street parking (3 spaces ensure you book ahead)instead of the advertised secure off-street parking.

Positives: - The location is great for Rapallo as it 200 metres from the main promenade, beach and restaurants. It is also very accessible for trips to Santa Margherita and Portafino. - Parking. Although we did not get allocated parking at the hotel, there is plenty of parking on the surrounding roads (paid). - Staff are friendly and helpful. - Roof terrace has a nice view. Negatives: - The breakfast is ok, normal Italian selection. It would be nice to have fresh coffee (rather than the machine) and fresh eggs. - The rooms are very old and tired, including the furniture, bedding and towels. The walls are heavily marked throughout the hotel and everything seems very worn from the rooms to the breakfast room. Given how popular the hotel seems to be, it would be great for a refresh of paint or furniture. Based on the above, our stay was fine for one night whilst visiting this area of Italy.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful; the continental breakfast was very good. The room was fine but bathroom was very small. Rapallo is a great seaside town that allows day trips to Portofino & Genova.

Esperienza meravigliosa, direi nuovo posto del cuore, almeno per noi! Sappiamo dove torneremo l'anno prossimo. Ci siamo trovati bene in tutto tanto da essere dispiaciuti di tornare a casa così presto! Qui abbiamo trovato oltre ciò che riteniamo fondamentale per una bellissima vacanza in famiglia. Innanzitutto il personale fantastico, simpatico, gentile e premuroso. Ti fa proprio sentire a casa senza farti mancare nulla, davvero molto disponibile. Premetto che, per chi si lamenta del costo parcheggio riservato, i posti a pagamento in città sono 30 euro al giorno... quindi direi che 15 euro è un buon compromesso (inoltre l' hotel fornisce allo stesso prezzo un pass per parcheggiare al parcheggio del porto di fronte che altrimenti sarebbe a disco orario di tre ore, noi ci siamo trovati benissimo con questa soluzione). La camera molto intima ma fornita di tutto il necessario, silenziosa e con aria condizionata in camera. La colazione intercontinentale molto fornita e ricca anche per celiaci e intolleranti al lattosio nonché vegani, anche in questo caso non ti fanno mancare proprio nulla. Posizione ottima vicino al lungomare e al centro di Rapallo. Siamo stati molto contenti anche dell'attenzione alla nostra cagnolina che ha potuto seguirci ovunque nell'hotel, anche a colazione senza dover rimanere chiusa in camera. A 3 km dall' hotel c è una meravigliosa spiaggia libera per cagnolini la baubau beach, altro punto a favore da parte nostra. Bhe che dire..l'estate prossima sappiamo già dove prenotare! In un hotel 3 stelle a Rapallo non puoi avere un bagno di 1 metro per 2, senza doccia e con una vasca da bagno da Puffi. Inoltre la struttura è vecchia. Al momento della prenotazione certe cose non si chiedono perché le considero scontate, mi sbagliavo.La correttezza verso il cliente avrebbe imposto di dire che il bagno era cosi.
