Crescent Motel

Lovely small motel. Extraordinarily good value. Young chap who checked us in (sorry I forgot his name) was super friendly and very helpful. For example, he asked if we were planning to visit the hot springs; upon determining that we were, he sorted us out a couple of pool towels to take with us, so we didn’t have to hire them at the spa. Little considerations like that are much appreciated. Motel was traditional in style, but very well maintained, and with carefully tended gardens. Rooms were thoughtfully equipped and well laid out. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. No idea how they keep the price so low. Conveniently located a few minutes from the Radium Hot Springs in one direction and the centre of town in the other. Various nice restaurants locally - from which I would recommend the Old Salzburg Restaurant and Screamers Ice Cream Cafe.

I would give this motel a six if I could. We booked a one night stay because there is a level 2 EV charger available with its own dedicated parking space. We were in room 8 which is right by the charger, not that it matters much as it is a small property. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. There was a kitchenette with a small dining table so we could cook our dinner and relax. You know when a place is well cared for when all the cupboard doors fit perfectly and none are out of alignment. The bathroom was small but functional and spotless. At first glance the shower stall appears small but it is a walk-in shower and quite roomy. Each room has a small deck with chairs and it was pleasant to sit outside and watch birds. The host is very friendly and chatty and said there are three types of hummingbirds who visit the many flower boxes he has planted around the property.

Stayed for more than one night. Our room was lovely - nicely updated, spacious, not lacking for anything. The price was reasonable for the area. We chose a room at the back of the complex - we had to climb stairs, but the view was spectacular and no vehicle noise from the road. There was no daily room service provided or phones in the room, but this is seems normal these days. Only complains were the room was not spotless clean - the toilet was obviously not wiped down from the previous stays , as there was urine stain and dust accumulated; and the towels smelled off after one days use, like they were not sanitized properly. Maybe a little bleach in the laundry is needed. Would I stay again? Yes, but like Douglas Adams says, bring your own towel.

Willem is welcoming and an excellent host! He makes you feel like old friends.The picture here does not do it justice. We were in unit 5 which is a suite and has a stove and a regulate size fridge. The memory foam bed gave us one of the best sleeps in a bed that was not our own. The shower is beautiful and new. Willem has done an excellent job in renovating and rejuvenating this lovely property.

We were in Radium for an event at the end of August. We had the 2 bedroom suite at this lovely little motel. We had a few conversations with the owners and they have made a number of environmental friendly upgrades. They also made some wonderful recommendations for food. Booking and check in were simple. Rates were incredibly reasonable for the kootneys in summer. Our room was clean, well stocked kitchen and very comfortable. The beds, pillows and linens were very nice. We all slept great. Very safe area. We had a mostly lovely seating area outside, a patio, which we made good use of. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again the next time I'm in the area.

Our room was quaint and up to date. Owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend staying here!!! Close to hot spring pools and restaurants in Radium. Easy check in and check out. Loved our stay!
