Occidental Boa Vista Beach

First solo holiday-glad I chose to come here. Felt safe at all times, even slept with the patio doors open. I had a junior suite with the most amazing sea view(who wouldn’t want to wake up to that every morning) Staff friendly, hotel beautifully maintained . Food choices different every day & in abundance. Stunning beach with lifeguards on patrol. Fresh bottle of water for my room each day was welcomed. Would definitely return. Thank you Occidental!

This hotel is stunning, yes it’s older but beautifully maintained, our rooms were cleaned daily and the rest of the hotel was constantly getting cleaned. Wonderfully quiet - nobody pushing sales or harassment in anyway. The AI is one of the best we’ve ever had - lots of different food on offer - something for everyone, though maybe including citronella candles on the tables in the restaurant to deter the flies would be welcome, alcohol of all types including cocktails- very generous servings so beware. The weather was lovely, the breeze is warm, nice to lay around the pool ( which is saltwater and cool but certainly not cold ) or on the beach. Lots of sun loungers and double canopy sun beds available. The WiFi was better around the pool than anywhere else on the resort - we didn’t really need it so again wasn’t a problem all in all. The only downside is the hotel shop - if you smoke get your cigarettes in duty free as the hotel shop is expensive, very very expensive. Other than that if you’re thinking of visiting Boa Vista this hotel is definitely worth booking. Happy Holidays to you all.

My first holiday on my own as a solo female was made to feel safe, staff always checked to make sure I was safe and happy. The views of the beach and the sunset are incredible, the food delicious and the staff are all wonderful. I love this place, wish I could live here. The WiFi isn't great but with that view and loads of entertainment, who needs WiFi!

The best holiday in Cape Verde, everyone was welcoming and very nice, they had activities and food and drink all day long, luxury and excursions too, it's a big resort and nice, we were here for the first time this year but definitely not the last Thank you

Very quiet and relaxing place. Despite being old place(room require renovation) the place is very well maintained and spotless clean. Food is delicious and fresh. Mostly liked the location as you can have a stroll to the sand dunes to the rights and have a great time watching the sunset there or go for a beach walk to the left as far as you want to. We walked about 3 hours on the beach from the hotel to Sal Rai. Taxi back is 10 euros.

Good hotel. Good food. Nice and kindly staff. Great pool and animations. Poor Wifi, The accomodations need paint and refreshing. But everything is clean.
