Casa Anabela Hotel Boutique

We had a wonderful stay at this hidden treasure located close to the Historical Center in Quito. My wife and I were in Ecuador celebrating our 47th anniversary with a birding adventure in the Cloud Forest northwest of Quito. We were warmly welcomed by the manager/hostess/concierge, Maria, who helped us settle into our spacious and well-appointed room with a balcony overlooking the street. Maria explained that the historic building that was now Casa Annabela had once been a multi-family residential building and had been redesigned and repurposed into this gem of a property with three levels of rooms surrounding a central, open-sky courtyard. Throughout our entire three-day stays, Maria and the staff took every occasion to make our status comfortable and memorable. Each morning, a delicious breakfast was served in the central courtyard, complete with fresh fruit, coffee or chocolate and eggs cooked to order. Maria also took the time to tell us about the best places to go to shop and was kind enough to arrange transportation to and from our visit to the Mercado…Uber is awesome in Quito! We could not have had a better time, and by the time we left, Maria felt like a family friend! We could not give a higher recommendation! Maria (and Marie!) get our five star rating!

This is a beautiful gem! The hotel is conveniently located in the historical centre near the Basilica. It’s an easy walk to La Compañía and Independence Square. The hotel is charming and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and designed for calm… perfect after an active day in Quito. Maria, the manager, is a wonderful host. She goes out of her way to ensure your stay is comfortable, safe and enjoyable! Marie, the housekeeper and cook, excels at her job always with a beautiful smile. As a solo traveller (mature female, too!) and first time visitor to Quito, it’s been fantastic, and employing a little common sense I’ve felt safe enjoying this beautiful city. The hotel is very centrally located right on the heart of the Historic District and very walkable distance to main attractions. The hotel is beautiful! It is a restored mansion of the late 1800's and they have done a great job. The rooms and common areas were cleaned and well maintained. The included breakfast was fantastic and the staff gave it a personal touch. What I have to highlight and what I think is a very important factor is SERVICE!! I had been communicating with Maria via WhatsApp for reservation confirmation, time, etc and at all time Maria was so kind, friendly and so welcoming. I stayed twice at the hotel. First time for one night before headed to Otavalo and then for 2 nights to then return to the USA. I had a great time both time. The staff, including Diego who managed the hotel along with Maria, were absolutely outstanding. I unfortunately had a very sick uncle in another city and needed to fly out from Quito to see him and needed a place to keep my bags while I left for an overnight trip, Maria was so kind and accepted for me to leave my bags at the hotel (although I was not checking in until my return from trip). I also needed a place to work before my flight and she let me use the hotel until it was time to go to airport. She had an empty room and she even offered for me to use it. Diego was there and he made sure to also assist me in anything I needed. I cannot speak enough about the service they provided to me. This is definitely the place if you want to stay in the Historic District. It is beautiful, clean and you will get fantastic personalized service.

It’s one of the finest and most cosy hotel I have ever stayed in. I am a frequent traveler and I find this hotel so homely that you don’t want to leave. From day one Maria and Diego were so helpful with all the information and booking our bus tkt. They are there for you in a foreign country. Breakfast was a top notch. Room are very modern clean, comfortable bed. If you stay here you will know what hospitality is actually.

The hotel is really beautiful, very well located in a safe street in the historical center of QUito, close to the tourist attractions. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious. The cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general is irreproachable. There are long private balconies in the rooms. The room I stayed in was equipped with a bathtub with a view on the balcony and a shower, the bed is very comfortable and very spacious. The room has a coffee machine, tea and mineral water. The breakfast was varied from day to day and very nourishing and delicious. The people in charge of the hotel are very welcoming, caring and very kind. I especially thank Mrs. Maria José for her advice and for the time she spent with me. I felt like a family member. The hotel is ideal for a stay in couple or in family.

What a treat to stay here. So helpful to have an airport pickup and the hotel itself is beautiful as are the rooms. Turns out the renovations were featured in architectural magazines. And the attention from Maria, the lovely manager, was superb. She really made my stay comfortable and enjoyable and was always ready to help with anything. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious. I came back and stayed again when I was passing through Quito a 2nd time. Location is great very close to everything.
