Layan Hotel & Spa

Loved the location with outstanding views and pool bar. Away from the hustle, yet you could walk (a small hike) to Beisanz beach, or take a taxi to nearby restaurants in Manuel Antonio or Quepos Marina. The staff, Robert, Aleandra, Allison and Steve, all made my stay very welcomed. They all went above and beyond to accommodate. Housekeeping did an excellent job daily. Angelo had a great personality and made the best drinks/coffee. He also made made breakfast a delight. I would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at Layan Hotel & Spa and while there were some positives, the overall experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Bird watching and the views from the pool were indeed lovely, and breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The room had an awful smell and was infested with sewer flies in the bathroom. To make matters worse, construction noises from across the street and sometimes from the room next door woke us up every morning, ruining our peace and quiet. The most terrifying part of our stay was when a large, menacing scorpion emerged from the closet. This incident left us unable to stay in the room any longer. Despite this, the hotel refused to let us check out early, even though we notified the desk that we wanted to leave two days ahead of our planned departure. I am deeply disappointed with Layan Hotel & Spa and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and safe stay.

The staff was welcoming and helpful in securing taxis and experiences, addressing any concerns, and overall we’re just very hospitable people as a group. It was a short (but hilly) walk to beach access which was wonderful! The hotel’s view is beautiful and can be seen from almost every spot in the hotel including the pool, lobby, breakfast area, and the rooms! The only thing I can say is the showers were a little hard to manage temperature (fluctuated from hot/cold frequently even after setting), and it didn’t have great water pressure. I would recommend this place to stay 100%!

I can't recommend Layan Hotel enough!! We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and were so sad we had to leave. The hotel is beautiful and has the most amazing view of the ocean. It has an awesome pool with a swim up bar. Wild life surrounds the hotel - we saw lots of monkeys, toucans, parrots, and iguanas. One of our favorite parts of this hotel was the staff. They are all AMAZING - so hard working and kind. We can't wait to go back.

My experience here was amazing! It was an awesome location that offers easily the best view in Manuel Antonio. There’s a lot of wildlife on the property and in only two days I was able to see birds, sloths, lizards and even monkeys in my balcony! The staff was always kind and attentive to everything we needed. It’s definitely a hidden gem in Manuel Antonio

The stay with my family in Layan was amazing! Everything was incredibly peaceful, the pool area was stunning and relaxing. One of the highlights was the Pool bar. The cocktails were delicious and relaxing by the pool while having one was one of the best parts. Will definitely come back here!
