Savoy Hotel Elminya

My husband and I recently had a pleasant 4 day stay at the newly restored Savoy Hotel in El Minya. The hotel is, indeed a little jewel in downtown El Minya. From the moment we walked into reception the service was attentive, polite and efficient. All staff behaved in a professional manner. The Restaurant was open from breakfast until late night and the food was varied and tasty. The room was spacious and bathroom very clean. Housekeeping did a great job The beds were comfortable as was the the bedding, lovely pillows, by the way. The lighting was good. The owners of the hotel had created a great feeling of 'days gone by,' with their attention to detail and choice of decor and it was great to see such an old building so lovingly restored. There are many beautiful old buildings in El Minya. The station is close by but we didn't feel any train disturbance at all. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Savoy Hotel and look forward to staying there again in the future. Many thanks Jim and Judi Barrowman

As director of an archaeological field project in the region, my project team and I had the very good fortune to stay for one month at this lovingly-restored, historic hotel in the center of Minia City. The architecture of the Savoy is simply magnificent and the rooms themselves are fully renovated to a very high standard - they are spacious, extremely comfortable, and meticulously maintained. What made our stay here really special were the people who own, manage, and staff the Savoy. We were treated like family! It was so nice to return each afternoon from our field site to the warm and welcoming smiles of everyone at the hotel. We felt as if we were in our own home! Lovely, delicious meals prepared especially for us - even boxed lunches to take with us into the field! Directing this field project is logistically complex, with things coming up every week that required my attention. However, I could always rely on the hotel for their amazing help and support. And not only for project-related matters, but also for personal ones as well - such as the time my dental crown broke while I was out in the field and the hotel management arranged for me to have immediate care from a local dentist in Minia City. I will also never forget the wonderful surprise party that the hotel held for us on the eve of our departure (see photos). Thank you Savoy for the beautiful memories! I very much look forward to returning to the hotel with my team for our next field season!

Had a wonderful stay - clean elegant hotel, great food, perfect central location, and phenomenal staff. The staff at the reception really blew us away with their exceptional customer service, it really made the stay that much better. Omnia and Eman at the reception really took care of us well and went above and beyond the entire stay for my mother Dalia, as did Taha Abdelkafy - thank you to the three of them and to Savoy Hotel for a memorable stay!

We stayed in this outstanding hotel 2 days ago ,Actually we are very pleased with their hospitality. The hotel has a luxurious decor, high-quality furnishing, pristine cleanliness, courteous staff, and exceptional personalised services –It has a decoration that mixes between the classic and the modern. I also recognized that many historical famous characters used to stay their long ago like President Anwar El Sadat and the famous Egyptian writer Abas El Aqad. They provided a smooth efficient check in. Bell captain who escorted us to the room was very friendly and provided us with a lot of information. Special thanks to Mr Ziad and Mr. Ahmed from the managment for being aware of our requirements ,he made our stay memorable and they left a very nice impression as they made us feel Home away from home ,They were all the time decent to us . Thanks again to the team that made our stay a good time, comforting and secure. We are sure that when we return to El Minya, we will go back to this glorious hotel . Our little child enjoyed very much as well.... I would like also to thank Restaurant ,Reception and housekeeping for their courtesy. The room was well cleaned,well equipped and spacious. The food was also delicious and Tasty I would like to thank them once again for their Hospitality. I'm so excited to share my experience on social media about this lovely and wonderful hotel as they really deserve it and to recommend this hotel to everyone.

We have visited El Minia several times at a different hotels , it was the first time at Savoy hotel and will not be the last . Really exceptional hotel, exceed our expectations by how the rooms are clean, fully equipped and very well maintained. Beds are so comfortable. Bathroom was clean with amenities and Walking shower. Tea and coffee facilities at the room with safe box . Staff are very helpful and friendly, well trained. Hotel have a parking area next to the hotel. It's a historical palace with it's great staff. Breakfast was nice Highly recommended and sure will visit it again

First time in this city. After a bad experience with another hotel I found this hotel. First impressions when I enter in room was like I escape from cave and I arrive in a palace. The staff very friendly and all time try do the best to satisfy you, receptionist very kind, all on superlative. Room confortable, large bed, minibar, kettle for coffee and tea, all to make you to be happy. The BEST hotel in this city. I recommend 100%.
