We have visited Lalu a number of times over the past few years. On this recent visit we noticed a huge improvement to the service. We were assigned a personal manager named Lisa (5*) who kept in touch throughout the stay. She was very helpful, making sure everything was OK and very polite. The F&B manager was very attentive also. It is this kind of service that makes Lalu a world class hotel!!!!

Great hotel with amazing view to the sea and huge swimming pool. We really enjoyed it. Breakfast with variety of food. Reception helped us with late check in, appreciate it so much! Beach is not for swimming, it’s not allowed, but swimming pool is pretty great.

The Lalu Qingdao is a fabulous hotel with excellent facilities and considerate staff. Special thanks to Annie Xin and Vince Wan for their care and assistance throughout our stay. The swimming pool is so beautiful! In the evening, we tried the French restaurant and their four-course menu was delicious. Just one remark: the hot spring access should be included for all guests staying at the hotel.

Our experience was great, highly recommended for those who want an experience for relax. Specially thanks to our butler Symons, he helped us in anything we needed during our stay. The food is great, we really liked the dinner buffet (I guess is same than lunch buffet). It's true the breakfast quality of food might be better for a hotel with such a high quality in all of its details. The location is privilege, right in front of the sea and nothing else around, so it's a quiet place. The rooms are so big and structure is perfect.

Wonderful experience staying here. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Quiet , relaxing and great garden walk along the sea shore. Sunrise and sunset, you see it all!

Exclusive venue and location, quiet luxury feeling. Great spa and facilities, away from the noise of the city but still a good location to call for a taxi. Superior breakfast service with Chinese and Western options.

Great stay as always. Hotel exceeds expectations and the rooms are cool and comfy. Jet skis are nice

Wonderful place to stay, The beach view and the room design was amazing, it's a bit far from downtown but it's the best choice for a couple relaxed holiday. We only tried Breakfast there and it definitely included what we like to have in the morning, cheese, veggies, fruits, etc. A day ahead to our arrival to the Hotel, Mr.Benjiamin added us on wechat and showed the hotel hospitality, he also offered us a free upgrade to executive room. The front desk staff were nice and professional and one of the ladies walked with us till our room and gave us a brief about the hotel. It was a nice weekend thanks to all The Lalu hotel staff, looking forward to staying there again.

We had a couple of wonderful days and Abby has helped us tremendously during the whole stay personally and vi WeChat. For sure we’ll return to this hotel for other vacations time… :)

The hotel is very good, beautiful building in a beautiful place, actually it is not so far from the city center of Qingdao, just 30-40 minutes by taxi. The breakfast was excellent, large variety of foods, Chinese and European as well, they have everything even ice-cream, bakery was absolutely fantastic and good coffee by the way. There is a good road along the coast that is perfect for everyday running and sometimes we used it for a walk, there is a number of beautiful places to take nice photo there. Special thanks to Abby who helped us a lot with all our questions, we could reach her anytime via WeChat, even during her day-off:)

Hotel is nice, but in this 5 star category would expect a bit more for service and extras.

A bit hard to get to, the hotel itself was fine. Exec suite seaview was spacious and nice and clean. View was ok. Infinity pool is nice and long but fairly crowded with lots of kids, no lanes for lane swimming. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, which was fine. We thought about having the beachside bbq buffet as there was a whole lamb being grilled, but we had a big lunch and didn’t want to go overboard. We missed afternoon tea which was included in our package, but Wendy comped us some Haagen Dasz and so I gave 5 stars for service for her doing that. Breakfast was so so. Not a great selection of fruit - for the price you’d expect more. Gym was great, well equipped by wife complained that there was no view like other resort gyms overlooking the ocean. Overall, nice place to stay. The room was way better than the St. Regis (which was too small) but St. Regis pool and breakfast and steak restaurant and view were way better. It was a nice hotel overall but not sure I would return.
