Parrotel Lagoon Waterpark Resort

This was our first stay at Parrotel Lagoon Resort and will not be or last. We have had a great holiday. There is something for all ages. We are a family of 5 with 3 children aged 3, 10 & 13 all of us have had a great time. The pools are amazing and our life guard Fahd has really looked after us during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit Sharm El Sheikh. The entertainment team were great and really made a good effort to keep everyone busy. It was our first time in Parrotel Lagoon and as a family holiday. The location was good, the hotel staff are lovely, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food was ok. The bar staff do great entertainment with the kids, including different activities for all ages. Ahmed was very friendly, always making us laugh and feel very welcome.

We stayed at Parrotel Lagoon Resort from 18 June to 2 July 2025 and had a truly enjoyable holiday. The hotel is very large, beautifully laid out, and well-suited for families, couples, and groups alike. There are several pools to choose from and a fantastic aqua park with something for every age – a wave pool, a wide variety of slides, and thankfully, relatively short queues. The pool bar offers snacks and soft drinks (no alcohol here), and it’s just a 3 min walk or buggy ride from the main pool area. The beach is about 6 minutes away by the hotel shuttle, which runs every hour. The beach has great reefs for snorkelling. There is a beach bar offering both alcoholic and soft drinks, along with snacks like chips and fresh fruit. We also appreciated the towel stations at every pool and the beach – very convenient. Our room (6408) was spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the main pool. Plenty of furniture, a well-functioning air conditioning unit, and a TV that worked without issue. The bathroom was also large, with a bath and separate shower, although it did look quite tired and would benefit from renovation. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were provided. Cleaning was done daily, though not always thoroughly – on a few occasions, the bathroom was untouched, or there weren’t enough towels or toilet rolls. One of the best decisions we made was attending the welcome meeting with our tour guide. There we learned about the additional services offered for British guests – including access to the Executive Lounge, which has a separate check-in area and its own restaurant, Basilico. This restaurant is a real highlight – peaceful atmosphere, food and drinks served to your table, and excellent service. A special thanks to Ahmed in Basilico, who was consistently kind, attentive, and helpful. He remembered our preferences and made us feel very welcome every day. The Food and Beverage Manager was also present daily, personally checking that guests were satisfied – which we really appreciated. The food overall was good, with plenty of options: tasty soups, roast chicken, beef stews, fish dishes, pasta cooked to order, salads, vegetables, rice, and potatoes. There is also a selection of burgers, chips, and nuggets. We found the food tasty, though it can feel repetitive after a week or so. There were grill stations during dinner time outside but the queue was too long to try it. Desserts and fruit were also in good supply, and the coffee from the machine was surprisingly good. Just a small plea – please discourage wet swimwear in the restaurant. It’s hard to enjoy your lunch when someone’s wet bum just soaked your chair. Staff try their best to manage it, but some guests think it's fashion. Evening entertainment was mixed. The belly dancing and fire show were the highlights, while other evenings were led by the animation team with more basic activities. First day I was sceptical about the hotel as reading past reviews wasn’t great at all. After looking round the hotel it was actually very good our hotel room was perfect. The animation team was amazing enjoyed everything me and my partner got involved with such as aerobics, gym and even got into some dancing moves. Only downside to the hotel was not much English food variety could do with improving other than that our stay has been great here. Can’t wait to be back here again with our children fo them to enjoy the entertainment as they would love it. Hopefully nothing changes and still stays great. Also ibrahim behind lobby bar is great and always very polite and such a smiley face all the time. Thanks you can’t wait to return.

My wife and I came for a week to celebrate here Birthday, leaving the kids at home. We were given a pool view room - 6404. Joseff was our housekeeper and he came in everyday with 2 bottles of water, any shower gel or shampoo we needed and fresh towels. Yes the rooms are a little tired but the bed was comfortable. The aircon cold. No real complaints. I don’t understand the problem people have with the drinks, if I wanted a beer it was poured directly from the bottle, I saw him crack the lid off on many a fresh bottle so definitely not watered down. Mohammed on the snack bar was great he would offer poolside service for the drinks. He always had a smile on his face and was very talkative and polite. Come 8pm head to the Piano bar (part of the all inclusive) for genuine cocktails. Raymond the bartender knows his stuff and again nothing is too much trouble. Sadly we know come to the food. Firstly make sure you go to the Basilico restaurant as this is for the British clients and you’re not fighting with the Arabs and Eastern Europe in the queue. The food was cooked thoroughly but sadly the choice was so repetitive by the end of the week we were on soup and chip butties. Apart from that we had a great holiday and when you add in the 10 minute transfer from the airport want more do you want.
