The hotel is beautiful with beautiful gardens and very aesthetic architecture. The way bungalows are disposed guarantees everyone easy and fast access to beach and pool. Room was spacious with pretty view on the garden. Good air conditioning, very necessary with this extreme heat 36 degrees Celcius in September. The room and bathroom is pretty but not luxurious and a bit old. One should not be thinicky on details. Shower was difficult to regulate. The location of the hotel was ideal for snorkeling. We went twice on a one day excursion for snorkeling, but our best experiences were in fact at the hotel. No need to go further. We saw the most different species at the jetty with turtles and everything you could imagine. The coral was wonderful too. We made some great quad safari located directly outside the hotel, which was a very great experience. The 2 brothers are very friendly. I recommend them to you. The pools are big and beautiful, with seagulls drinking and bathing next to you. No need to rush for lying chairs in the shade. There were plenty enough. Now comes the negative points. When we arrived we were disappointed by the attitude of employees at the reception. Not welcoming at all, no smile, very nonchalant and very little English, difficult to communicate with. We litteraly felt not welcome. Hardly no information was given except the keys and card for towels. We thought it was the wrong time but throughout our stay, they remained like that. Nothing was organised to give us information on the hotel, we just had to find out by ourselves, sometimes very late in our stay where things were. Activities and animations were not clearly communicated and animation was very poor. We hardly didn't see animation staff. I am surprised by other reviews saying staff is very friendly because this was not at all our experience. Except a few people at the restaurant, we rarely had to deal with warm smiley faces. In fact I think it was the only hotel we stayed at, and we travelled a lot around the world, where the staff was so unfriendly and not customer orientated. Bored and with minimal effort. At many times we felt that we were bothering them. The food was good but not excellent. Very repetitive and lacking in choice of meat and fish. The freshly cooked pastas were delicious though. White wine we tried first day was terrible so we drank soft drinks with meals. The reception and restaurant have no air conditioning, which is uncomfortable as it is extremely hot outside and the big fans are rare and we had to be lucky to get a table near one of them. Some tables were even reserved, probably against tips, which I don't find very fair. You could equally feel the difference in service quality at the bar if you give them tips or not. This should not be the case. I like to give tips because of a good service and not to have a good service. The beach was a bit disappointing.
