The staff was great and very kind. The hotel seems old inside and you find little bugs which was not ideal.

We were on a 12 day road trip with our very close friends who are visiting SL on a one year vacation and we enjoyed every minute of our stay at Suriya. The Resort Manager Mr Arju was very friendly and helpful and made sure that we were treated like VIP guests from the time we arrived till we checked out!! We were even given a complimentary room upgrade since we were returning guests to Suriya. Since we were very tired after the long journey from Mannar, your front office representative Ms Shamila came to our suite to handle the check-in paperwork and our welcome drinks were brought to our suite. Mr James your F&B representative was always around to help us in the restaurant. Your assistant restaurant and bar manager Mr Shanuka Fernando made the most amazing cocktails for us and you should use the slogan “Best Cocktails in Negombo” Some of the cocktails he made for us was “ACHCHARU, Spice Berry Smash and Passion Mojito!! ACHCHARU was our favourite. The following team members, Marasinghe, Suresh, Rachidu and Muthu were very helpful to us during our stay and your Housekeeping team did a very good job with cleaning our suite!! We also had the pleasure of meeting the chairman of the resort Mr Eric Suriyasena during our stay!!

Good service and delicious foods. Also room facilities are great. We really enjoyed the days. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Me and my family have been visiting Suriya resort for many years, and it still remains the same as before. The calming serene atmosphere, polite and friendly staff, even though they are no of the staff who were there before. I feel like I'm at home and not in a hotel. Food is amazing too like before. Thank you Mr. Shanuka and James for the feeling and atmosphere created by you and your team. Definitely we will return.

Very nice hotel with amazing cuisine and always smiling pleasant staff. Ideal for couples and calm days between trips. Rooms are spacious and clean, the bed is comfortly hard. 100 metres from hotel there is great ayurveda massage center. If I will again travel to Sri Lanka, definitely I will stay in this hotel again.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Best food, nicest stuff and most caring people. 100% recommend for couples, families and solo trips. Also- if you have and occasion choose to stay in chalet. I’m definitely gonna be back here!

I came to Sri Lanka for an 8-day vacation. I chose Suriya Resort because it was right on the beach. I got a great experience with the food, people and some beautiful places in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan food was really unique and a bit spicy. Before I came to Sri Lanka, I organized my tours with Tony Tours through TripAdvisor. He was a really good driver and a very knowledgeable person. His house was just 50m away from the hotel. I went on a 3-day tour with him and it was a really wonderful experience. We went to Ella train travel, elephant orphanage, temple of the tooth relic, tea plantation, nine arch, Yala Safari, and Galle city tour. Thank you very much to the staff at the hotel and to Tony Tours.

Worst experience! The buffet is closing at 3pm, They are is a big hurry to wrap all the things up and send away their customers. What a waste of time. I’m normally taking my lunch after 3pm, so I had no lunch and no deserts, and even the price is above the sky, but the service below the ground. Disappointed!!

We wanted to reccomend the spa leLili in the hotel.My and my partner went to the spa for special treatment „You & Me”.Niranjan did our massage and we felt relaxed and comfortable.He is charming person and it was nice to chat with him.The prize was also really good for two people and the time we spend here was worth every money.When Niranjan massaged us he was making sure if everything was okey.You have to try the spa when you visit Suriya resort.

I had an excellent experience at Lily Spa, thanks to Niranjan, who is truly a skilled and experienced massage therapist. From the moment the session began, it was clear that he has a deep understanding of body mechanics and massage techniques. His professionalism and calming presence immediately put me at ease. Niranjan’s technique was both therapeutic and relaxing — he applied just the right amount of pressure and was very attentive to areas of tension. What impressed me most was his ability to identify muscle knots and release them with precision, showing his years of experience and expertise in massage therapy. If you're looking for someone who truly knows what they're doing and can provide both relief and relaxation, I highly recommend asking for Niranjan. He’s a real asset to Lily Spa, and I’ll definitely be returning!

I stayed at Suriya resort kandalama for 3 nights in May while visiting negombo . The location is ideal — walking distance to [major attraction/area] and plenty of restaurants nearby. Check-in was quick and staff were friendly and professional; they recommended a great local cafe and helped with a late checkout. The room was clean, quiet, and well appointed: comfortable king bed, good blackout curtains, fast Wi‑Fi, and a spotless bathroom with quality toiletries. I appreciated the daily housekeeping and the in-room coffee machine. The hotel’s amenities include a small gym and a rooftop terrace with lovely views — the terrace was my favorite place for an evening drink.

We had an amazing stay at suriya resorts ! The location was absolutely beautiful, right next to a peaceful beach with breathtaking views. The room was comfortable and well-kept, and the food was delicious with a good variety. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. Waking up to the sound of the waves made the experience even more special. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway.
