I had a terrible one-day stay at a hotel that I booked last minute. The pictures made it look decent, but as soon as I arrived, I knew I had made a mistake. The lobby smelled musty.
When I got to my room, the nightmare continued. The door handle was loose, and I had to jiggle it multiple times just to get in. Inside, the carpet was stained, the bed looked like it hadn’t been properly made, and worst of all, there was a weird smell—like a mix of mildew and something rotten. I checked the bathroom, and the towels were damp
Hoping to make the most of it, I decided to order room service, but the phone in my room didn’t work.
By morning, I couldn’t wait to leave. When I went to check out, the receptionist didn’t even ask how my stay was. I was so exhausted and annoyed that I just grabbed my bags and left. It was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I made sure to leave a detailed review warning others to stay far away.
