Brijuni Hotel Istra

The 3 star hotel Istria - which is in fact linked to the Hotel Neptun by a corridor is simply tired and not all rooms are refurbished. Ours had a bathroom that has certainly not been rennovated nor did room looked in erality like the ones in the photos. The aircondition worked very poorly, the room temperature was 28 degrees C at its best. We could not open windows as our room had a park view which meant constant noise from air conditioners and full sun most of the day. No sleep due to the noise and heat. Breakfast is average with a selection of cold meats and cheese, fruits, simple breads, achine made pancakes, some eggs, industry made juices, croissants, .... no balance between the price and teh actual servise and accomodation ... heavily over prized and not worth it. Given that the possibilities to sleep on the isalnd are limited thsi si heavily exploited. The plus side was the staff which has been with an exception of one young woman receptionist helpful. Parking is well organized and staff there is very helpful. Trasfer trom Frazana to the Island is also well organized and timely. Staff excellent.

Brijuni is exceptional place. We booked two nights in superior room but I am not sure that is the room we got (even though at reception they said we did- photos and description of the room at the booking page did not match the actual room and we didnt have sofa in room, just bed and futon). I wrote to hotel reception beforehand and they provided information about parking in Fazana (very close to pier and reception where you pick up free vouchers for boat transfer to Brijuni). Parking is great and in shade. It is not very expensive. Check in is fast. Room is big and renovated. Bathroom is partly renovated. Toiletries are provided (but dont forget toothpaste and brush). No slippers or robes. Beach towels are provided. Towels smell amazing whick really surprised me. Rooms are clean bit carpets smell and two pillows on the bed are not enough for good night sleep, they are not confortable. Air-con works poorly, the trick is to open the door in front of it so air blows out freely, then the room cools faster. Breakfast is very basic, at 9.20 there were no more toast, yoghurt. Dinner is OK, but food generally is dissapointing for what you pay. We didnt really enjoy food. What is outstanding is the nature. We rented electric golf cart and drove all around the island- its way better than bycicles in the summer heat. We will probably be back next year because of amazing nature and tranquility but hotel ahoild improve food.

Il classico esempio di gestione statale che vale in ogni paese. L’isola è una delle meraviglie del mondo ma l’albergo.. 🤦🏻 Credo che l’ultima “sistemata” l’abbia data Tito alla fine degli anni ‘70. Condizioni a dir poco fatiscenti, bagni sconcertanti, buffet pranzo e colazione da ospedale. Peccato perché lo staff è veloce e cordiale. Il tutto a soli 3/400 euro a notte!!! Nota importante attenzione alla trappola del parcheggio “riservato” ai clienti dell’albergo: da sabato mattina alle 11 a domenica alle 20 SOLO 55€.. a cento metri (davanti al beach bar) 21€ per una settimana.. una truffa in piena regola.. Ripeto che la location è da sogno peccato sia in mano a incompetenti assoluti. Potrebbe essere la perla della Croazia! Tornerò sicuramente ma dormendo a Fasana.

Abbiamo prenotato 3 giorni prima una suite per 3 persone in mezza pensione. Camera molto grande, molto pulita, con 3 porte finestre ampie e luminose, con bellissima vista mare. Bagno grande, pulito e ottimamente equipaggiato. Cena a buffet con scelta varia e ottima qualità. Colazione altrettanto ricca e ottima. Cortesia, gentilezza e professionalità di tutto il personale. Ottima organizzazione per il posteggio auto a Fazana. Siamo rimasti davvero colpiti. Abbiamo girato tutta l'isola in autonomia con auto elettrica, con fermate per vedere gli animali e fare il bagno. Giornata davvero gradevolissima. Parco molto curato e pulito. Gli animali del safari potevano girare ovunque scavalcando i leggeri steccati. Avevamo il timore di vedere uno zoo, invece siamo rimasti sorpresi nel vedere la libertà di cui godono gli animali di spostarsi da un recinto all’altro. L’unica nota negativa, che stona nel contesto naturalistico del parco e dell’isola, è stato vedere l’elefante infelice in un recinto molto piccolo e la vasca piccola e poco curata della tartaruga. Se avremo occasione ci piacerebbe tornare sicuramente, sia per l'isola che per l'ottimo hotel.
