Cala Nova Apartamentos

Well kept and clean hotel with helpful and friendly staff. good size balconies', perfect sun trap. The rooms are basic but well kept by dedicated cleaning staff. Nice pool and area for sunbeds. The hotel is positioned equally between beach and Mall. It stocks some basic provisions, there's a bar and the availability of food. ( English breakfast, pizzas etc.)

This was my second visit here. I go here solo for sun and relaxation and that's exactly what I get. I've been to Puerto Rico many times and stayed in a few different hotels as well as the Altair, one of the sister hotels, which is situated further up the hill closer to the commercial centre which is also very good but the Cala Nova is much better for the uncovered huge balcony and minimal noise from the main centre, spectacular views, sun from 11.30am until 7-8pm! I can't understand why they don't have sunbeds on the balconies as there is AMPLE room for them! Location is perfect for both the shops and the beach. Walk along the beach front to the right and you will find the ferry to take you to mogán (€13 return) as well as some steps up to the cliff walk to amadores beach (both a must to visit) If you struggle with walking up hills there is an abundance of taxis to take you back to your hotel which is a minimum charge of €3.95 and this covers your journey from the beach. It's easy to walk down though. I find the beds very firm and the pillows could be better but everyone has their preference. The staff in reception are very friendly as are the cleaning staff also. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you need for basic self catering and there's a shop at reception but very expensive, over €5 for a loaf of bread. There's a good Spar opposite the Mogan shopping centre (better shopping experience and some fantastic restaurants on the top floor) to stock up If need to. Although I didn't use the pool it's small with plenty of sunbeds which people do the ritual of laying down their towels, entertaining to watch. I'll be visiting again this year as this is now my happy place. See you soon Cala Nova and hopefully you will consider sunbeds on the balconies in the near future 🌞 thanks for a lovely holiday.

Absolute fantastic 9 nights at the CALA NOVA - been to PR many many times but first time staying here. Very clean, friendly , spacious and well equipped. WiFi was spot on. Mini mart was expensive but expected. The small pool could do with a re grout / scrub but generally very clean. Plenty of sunbeds, massive balcony too. We found the calanova very accessible for our toddler and pushchair. Hardly any noise from the centre. Easy to get to the beach and centre. Shower and luggage room free to use when checking out. Check out time is 12 lunchtime - fantastic.We will definitely be back 100%.

The hotel is lovely and the rooms are adequate for self catering the pool side is not very big struggled to get sun beds as people were hanging towels on them and going out I would like to suggest sun beds were put on balcony as there is sufficient room

The views are spectacular from here, the apartments are basic but clean and have a lovely large balcony. Unfortunately no air-conditioning or sun loungers on the balcony and the walls are paper thin. The shop is scandalous €7.20 for 1 Ltr of milk and a very small bag of sugar!! Definitely avoid buying from here and there's nothing priced so you haven't a clue how much anything is!

Stayed here twice now, our recent stay was excellent. Cala Nova is in the best location with great views, will definitely be booking another stay there. Rooms are just right for 2 with sun all afternoon. All the staff are very helpful and friendly.
