We had a fabulous stay here. Pros; Staff are welcoming, speak excellent English and are very helpful. Hotel is spotlessly clean. Lots of free sun loungers on a lovely terrace. Poolside bar has good food and drink options at decent prices. Supermarket just below hotel with the basics Hairdryer available Large balcony with table, chairs and clothes rail. Modern decor Free safe box TV About 15 min walk to beach/spar Bus stop is about 10 minutes away and costs about 12 euro return ticket to get to the waterpark instead of paying €50 for taxi. Location info for mobility impaired: The location is great for us. Not too far from the bars/restaurants, however, the hotels in this area are in the mountains and the shops/bars etc are down in the valley. This means you have to go down a lot of steps (or get a taxi). A taxi is only about €4 and there are always loads in the valley to go up to the hotel but if you need to get one down into the valley, you will need to call one. I do not have any mobility issues so I can't give a comprehensive review on it. Cons: A/C costs an extra €25 for the week. The AC unit is in the living area but none in the bedroom. The shower screen is short and we found that water kept coming out at the bottom of the shower and onto the floor. The pool has ladders but no steps so may not be easily accessible for people with mobility issues. No night bar but the area with bars is only about 5 mins walk away.

Hotel is in a good location. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but have everything you need, nice size balcony. The only thing is the bed, it's 2 single beds together which keep moving apart and no intimacy is possible. No double bed available as we asked. Also sofa in the living room, base cushion keeps sliding down making it very uncomfortable.

Just returned from a great 7 night stay at these apartments. It’s 30 years since we’ve been to Puerto Rico and we wanted to be near to main areas. We didn’t use a taxi in the whole 7 days and walked down and back from the center. There are 100 steps back up from the main shopping area but we soon got used to them. I do agree you can hear noise from the bars until 3 am but that didn’t bother us. Apartments clean and stocked with kettle , fridge and hob. Plenty of utensils if you wanted to cook. Being honest food in the resort cheap so other than coffees we didn’t use facilities. Staff we met friendly and cleaners did knock early but if you didn’t wavy room cleaning they would call later or back following day. Overall very clean and no issues at all. We loved the location not far away from everything. Large soar nearby and 2 shall shops just nearby for water or essentials. We tended to go for a walk every day didn’t use the pool but squats beds available. We will definitely return.

Great apartments only downfall was the door in the rooms , single door linking rooms could hear everything that was going on next door with a quite a cap which was annoying especially when neighbours get a bit loud . Considering the noise that came from across from the centre we got a noise complaint for laughing Pool staff and entertainment staff always friendly and always had great fun and laugh with them all

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Castillo del Sol,nice hotel,everything we needed for a self catering week,great staff in all areas especially the ladies in the hotel supermarket,super friendly and helpful. Apartment was small but well equipped,comfortable beds and pillows,nice balcony overlooking the shopping centre and down towards the beach. Pool area nice but a little tight on space,we spent most of our time out and about or at the beach so didn’t bother us to much,always seemed to be sunbeds available if you needed one. We found the noise from the shopping centre a bit off putting and made sleep difficult but earplugs helped.If generally went on until around 3am so if you’re a light sleeper something to consider. All in all a good three star hotel that gives you access to the hotel Casablanca next door for gym and wellness centre so worth considering when in Puerto Rico

Just returned after a weeks stay. The hotel is in a great location. Room was a good size. Wardrobe space very small and there was no drawers. Cleaners come in every day except Sunday and Wednesday. Bath towels very small and don’t leave enough bigger towels as the smaller towels fall off when trying to wrap hair up. Pool opens at 10am there was a small queue to put towels down but nothing major.
