Atlantis Dive Resort Puerto Galera

I joined Atlantis Puerto Galera as a dive group leader with Aqua Hut Scuba and Travel in July. I can safely say that Atlantis nearly tops every one of my trips I have been on over the years. If you are considering Atlantis...I promise you will not be disappointed. The amazing service started off with the communication and organization prior to the trip even starting. Atlantis had a well-organized system to pre-register guests, sign up for additional activities as well as pre-arranged all transfers and diver information/registration. This significantly assisted with my job as a dive group leader getting information to my clients and ensuring a simple and easy arrival. The staff at Puerto Galera was without a doubt top notch. From the small and simple things like remembering your name each day, to being more than helpful at any given time when needed. No matter what you were doing, or where you were on the grounds you were met with a smile, greeting and assistance if required without hesitation. To show you an example of how great the staff are, I personally had an issue with Delta and Korean Air losing my baggage for five dives. Between the front desk staff, management and the Chief Operations Officer Steve, they worked tirelessly for five days to keep me updated. contact the airlines multiple times a day and even gave me a set of rental dive gear to ensure I didn't miss out on anything while I was there. It truly made my trip memorable, and I cannot thank them enough for their tireless work. The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful from the moment you step off the boardwalk. Lush palm trees, thatch roofs and the architecture of the resort really add a special feeling to the resort that makes it feel like your home away from home. With everything so close including the dining area, front desk pool and dive shop you are never more than a few steps away from anything you could need on your trip. The dive shop is conveniently located near the water's edge where your tanks, gear lockers, and dive briefings were conducted just a few steps away from the boats ready to take you diving! The dive staff was superb and knowledgeable. From the detailed dive briefings to the excellent diving, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the day trip to Verde Island as that was probably the highlight of my trip with Puerto Galera. The diving here is a mix of "Muck" and coral with some of the most amazing creatures to be found. Diving in the Philippines has so far been one of my favorite locations to dive. The dive staff will take care of just about all of you needs, once you set your gear up the first day, they will take care of everything the rest of the week. Their dive locker area is very large and spacious to hang all your gear and store your fins, masks and accessories each night. This resort is a cross between Bedrock of the Flintstones and Whoville. It is such a fun place to stay. The staff in great and the food is absolutely incredible. The diving is second to none. The dive staff are top notch and do everything to make your experience perfect.

We had a life changing time at this resort. The entire staff of this resort are the best humans on the planet. The diving was beyond spectacular in nature and only made better by the greatest dive guide I've ever had - Van. Van has one of the greatest critter spotting eyes I have ever experienced. He genuinely listened to us, and picked all of our dives sites with safety and our critter spotting goals in mind. He checked off almost all of my bucket list critters within the first day!! We were supported by Captain Bai - who was so on top of things we were blissfully floating from dive to dive unaware of all the hard work happening behind the scene. My backplate bolt had unfortunately loosened, and was lost on a dive and Bai replaced it himself while the rest of the dive team went to the hardware store to look for alternatives! All while I sipped on a soda and enjoyed the company. To top it off, Norm FOUND said bolt on his dive, and they refused to take the spare back an insisted I keep it as a back up part. Speaking as a manager of a dive company for the past 6 years, the ENTIRE dive team at Puerto Galera, along with their passion and efforts are 100% unmatched. Verde Island day trip, and Black Water dive are a must. However, the local sites (all less than 10 minutes boat ride away) were all mind blowing as well. The resort itself is quaint and very unique. The rooms, albeit a bit small, were fully functional for a couple with loads of dive gear. The spa experiences were incredible and the restaurant staff knew our coffee order by the second day! Ogie - the restaurant manager surprised us with unique, personalized latté every morning. The food was absolutely incredible and they always made sure we were hydrated, full and happy! We'll never forget our time here, and tears were shed as we departed with hugs from our dive team and warm smiles from the entire staff at Atlantis.

The diving was spectacular, our divemaster , Van, was fabulous, showed us everything on our bucket list! The food was great- multiple choices for meals, home baked bread every meal! Camille, Vanna and her staff very incredibly attentive. Ogie’s cappuccino designs were a delight.

Accommodations were great and diving was very refreshing. Took many photos underwater of the local marine life. Recommend the night dives and Verdi island. A pointer stick is very helpful as we experienced some strong currents on the dives.

Oh my ! What can I say but this resort is so amazing. The staff are so welcoming and kind. Each member learns and calls you by name when seeing you. It makes you feel like you’re family. The islands have several MPA’s (marine protected areas). The major economic industry here is diving and the diving in PG is mostly reefs and is so spectacular. I haven’t seen reefs this healthy in a long while. Just proves what a little care can do. Van was our dive guide and he did not disappoint when it came to pointing out all the wonderful critters to see. My compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. The meals were delicious and more than I could eat. I asked for half portions several times. My reservation representative, Emily Jamero, did an amazing job helping me make all the arrangements for this trip. She really went above and beyond.

As a family of four travelling from Germany our experience was just perfect from beginning to end. We were greeted from the airport promptly with a big friendly smile and had an excellent transition from Manila to the resort. We were again greeted with warm friendly smiles and a gorgeous plate of freshly served fruits which was not expected. Throughout our two week stay both our children dived our youngest being just ten years old. The divers taught with love, care and patience, we certainly felt part of an extended family. The food was AMAZING with a variety of both international and local delights - the highlights of our evenings were chatting to the ever friendly 50 bar staff. Our room was kept immaculate throughout our stay and fully aircon. We were very sad to say goodbye to our new extended family and shall be returning to Germany to save up for our next visit thank you SO much Atlantis.

some of the most amazing Diving, wonderful food and the staff was like not other. Great Music at the 50 Bar club. Rooms were neat and clean. Lots of shops near by and many interesting things to see. We will return to this resort, we have never had this kind of fun before.
