Good location ! bang on where all the shops is , clean , receptionist is very friendly and helpful ,will defo back again and will stay the same

Would have been really nice if I stopped there but got cancelled last minute and left without a hotel. Had to sleep on a bench that night. Now sleep on a couch at someone’s apartment. Not a nice experience at my age being of 74 with not knowing what to do or where to turn. Still traumatised by the whole experience

Apartments very clean and sea view was great. Beds were really comfy and extra pillows available. Very central and such easy access on to main street through locked gates which you get a key for. They were busy when we were there but always quiet at night and always got a lounger at the pool. The pool is really.cold but it was february and was refreshing to go in. All staff we met were helpful and friendly and pool bar staff were great and a wide variety of food snacks and drinks. Also a shower room to use if you have a later flight which was good. Will definately return

Normally give La Penita a better rating having stayed here many times, however this time, we sent them a request for 9 different rooms we wanted to stay in and they didn’t bother. They have always honoured requests in the past but this time they didn’t. If I was giving them one or two rooms, I would understand but with a choice of 9 and they still didn’t give us one of those rooms, I am disappointed. We booked a sea view room and normally stay in the rooms further towards the front, but this time was given a top floor room in one of the main blocks, which still has a sea view, but the balcony is a lot smaller. Everything else is still good, the pool, the pool bar, the staff and the internal room. Stayed in Playa club this month and think that might be the preferred choice next time. To note: Penita does not have air con, which you don’t really need in the winter months, but would be a problem when it’s warmer

La Penita. The location is great, very close to the Airport, Beach, Bars and Restaurants. The rooms are more than adequate, and very clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. It has a great pool bar run by Lauren, and well supported by Lindsey,Lisa and Becky. Lidsey also has an excursion company, and can arrange all your trips and car rental. We have been coming to Lanzarote for the past 10 years, and while sampling other hotels, we have found that La Penita meets all our needs

Had another fantastic holiday in Puerto del Carmen. La penita apartments and pool area are still great. There is a rebuild in progress of the reception bar so it's noisy at times. There is a pop up bar a the pool run by the same lady who runs the main bar who is great. If only the same could be said about the gentleman running the temporary reception. He refused to order me a taxi as I had booked my room through a third party. I explained that my partner has breathing difficulties and we needed a taxi but he still refused and would not help in any way. This man is the rudest most unhelpful man I have ever met in Lanzarote and should not be allowed to interact with customers. He is ruining the reputation of a good set of apartments. Everybody around the pool was disgusted with his behaviour. Looking at some of the reviews it's seems that this is certainly an area to improve.

Another great stay in Sept it was 30+ but the 2 fans were enough didn't need the air con pool bar food is lovely bingo 2 days a week apartments nice clean u can hire beach towels €10 each a week u get that backonly problem again and it's a joke in the last 3 visits we werw told if u leave towel on sunbed for 45 mins or more towel will be removed by the lifeguard who starts at 11 so people get up at 5am put towels out then come to pool about 10.50 so the people who want to lay by pool from 8 am as we and others did there werw Jo sunbeds jn the sun left the reception staff when they come in at 9 should move all towels that arent being used at 9am I understand u want to reserve a bed but use it feom 8 8.30 it's a joke some people have 2 on top which is fine I understand they r very low so people use 2 there are plenty but fab apartments and they r closed in April poss may for refurb
