My travel agent wife has booked many people to this hotel over the years so we decided to check it out ourselves. First impressions were very disappointing. As many people have stated this is 2 separate hotels now connected by a walkway. First was the massive walk from reception to the “quiet “ part of the hotel. As we opened the door to our room we were greeted with a very disappointing location and view. We asked to be moved but were told there was no other rooms available. All week it was a long walk to the main part of the hotel where all activities, kids club, main restaurants and bars were located. Bit of a pain. The rest of the holiday was very good, rooms and grounds were immaculate. The hotel is in an excellent location for the beech. Food and drink was good. Bit of a free for all at meals times but that’s what I’d expect an all inclusive. The things that I will remember most fondly from the hotel were the excellent staff and especially the kids club. Our little lad had the time of his life.

We went here for heated pool it was cold why say you have heated pool when it is not will not come back food OK people reserving sunbeds from early walking round to find sunbed staff very good but I go for sun and to relax could not even swim as to cold

Myself Husband and Son have just got back from an amazing 7 day Holiday here in RIU Paraiso Lanzarote. The hotel was lovely, spotlessly clean everywhere. As a non smoker I loved the fact that guest have a designated area they can sit and smoke in whilst sunbathing around the pool, so the area is kept clean of all cigarette butts. The hotel always had enough sun-beds and parasols for everyone. If there wasn’t and people who arrived through the day couldn’t find one they went and fetched more. The Hotel is VERY big as it originally was 2 separate hotels now combined into one. The hotel is joined by a LARGE LONG walk way so be prepared on arrival If your in the 2nd section of the hotel - this felt like a mammoth walk. Then later you can see the short cut for everyday walk to the main area. We were in the 2nd part of the hotel with the large pool with the island in the middle, this we found suited us better as the other 2 pools in the main section on the hotel looked crammed! Loved the fact the hotel accommodates for the disabled and has a slope into the pool where I observed a wheelchair user being able to access this in the chair and then the chair was taken out till needed again. Well done to the hotel, pluses lifeguard was happy to assist if needed. Only negative thing, that I would say about the pool is the half section of the pool where ball games are allowed is a pain as balls are flying everywhere. Two older french lads were being really rough playing and hitting the ball into people and their parents were not saying anything!!, at the time the lifeguard (of this day) was to busy talking to his friend to observe this! (Needs to be more aware of what’s going on) lots of people were getting angry with the boys as had enough by then! Apart from that the pool area is amazing! Pool snack and bar was great, nachos with cheese, burgers chicken Prosecco, wine cocktails, larger on tap. On arrival on your stay you get a card that you get the towels for your sun-bed by the pool. Rooms was lovely, fresh towels when needed, large balcony’s with a table and chairs for evening. Could do with the light for the balcony as there isn’t one and your unable to sit out when dark so suggestion to the hotel perhaps to install them. Had a rack to air your towels and dry them. Main restaurant- amazing food caters for all. Loved the fresh prawns, assortment of cheeses and hams can not fault this at all. We dined in the Asian restaurant and the Canary one both were lovely, a little slow in the canary one and we found staff werent as friendly as the Asian one and had to ask for some drinks in the end as waiter was too busy focusing on another table to much, but was lovely atmosphere and more relaxing that main restaurant. Entertainment was Ok to be honest we never really went in there only a couple of times we were quite happy sat playing cars in the bar area or we went out for a walk. We often stay at the RIU Costa del Sol but decided to try Lanzarote for a change. We weren’t disappointed ,very well run hotel with very pleasant staffFood was very good and a special mention to the Asian restaurant which was excellent. Pools and surrounding areas were first class ,If you need a break from the hotel 10 mins walk either way outside the back gate will bring you to bars and restaurants. Check in was busy and we weren’t disappointed lucky enough to get a room on the floor below reception level which is very convenient,

We loved everything with Hotel Riu Paraiso Lanzarote. Very clean hotel, professional staff over all, the acitivity leaders, reception, cleaners, restaurant staff. Very good, polite, nice. We rented a car one day and had excellent help at the reception. We also had to go to the pharmacy on New Years Day and the recption helped us with that. Good food and al lot of food. Nice ppols with lots of sunbeds. Close to the beach and a nice walk besides the beach to Puerto del Carmen. We are so satisfied with everything and can really recommend this hotel.

This hotel is huge but seemed to run like clockwork. Spotlessly clean, friendly & efficient staff, pristine pools and good food. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the drinks. They have a cocktail menu - not one of them tastes anything like a cocktail! All alcohol is home brand or and the wine isn’t too good either. My partner said the beer was fine but for me I struggled to find anything decent to drink and we ended up going out for a decent cocktail. We are not big drinkers but would have loved a nice one here and there. The entertainment crew were fantastic, lots of fun activities during the day but we were a bit disappointed with the evening entertainment- once was enough for us! The food was good standard and as I don’t eat meat I found there was a good selection of other food to choose from. With the amount of people at this hotel I thought the staff did an excellent job of getting the tables cleared and clean ready quickly for the next guests. The main restaurants were good but the afternoon snack bars (Pepe’s) were awful. All in all we had a great time, we would definitely come back if we got a good deal just to cover the cost of going out for good drink!

The only thing that let down my 100% Satisfaction was the Alcoholic drinks such as No Guinness, Ciders, Malibu or even No Pineapple Juice, however, the rest was FANTASTIC, we will be going on Holiday to the RUI in Gran Canario this year on which we hope the will of a higher standard. thank you.

Nice clean hotel and the staff are excellent and friendly. Unfortunately it’s two hotels linked into one by a walkway. We were originally given a room at the other complex which ended up being a 6 minute walk from reception. On entering the room and looking out over the balcony we had a view of the walkway and a flat roof containing all the aircon units for cooling elsewhere down so we asked if there was any better rooms available. In fairness we had ground floor rooms along from the Volcano Disco which didn’t have an impact on the room. The pools are okay but if it was peak time then I think they’d be over run. The drinks are non branded apart from the Amstel lager and as for the spirits they just don’t taste the same and the Baileys substitute is watery. The wine on tap is more like pickling vinegar so hit the red with a dash of tango the white and rosè with sprite. Breakfast juices are like squash and we ended up going to the Spar for some and kept it in our room. Food…. Well if you like nice tasting food you’ll only find it in the Yashima which you can only book once other than that it’s bland basic cold and tasteless. Most of the breakfast is deep fried like the bacon sausages and as for the eggs they’re like the ones you get at the pic n mix. You need to time it right as both sides of the hotel go to the same area so it’s like being at the cattle market to get food.We ended up eating out more than eating at the hotel which defeats the object of an all inclusive but we like nice food ! At other RIU hotels you see lots of managers organising and overseeing what’s going on but we only saw two the whole ten days. Overall I feel RIU could improve this hotel massively by providing better quality food better quality drinks and possibly improve the entertainment by bringing acts . Would we return !!!! No Entertainment wise this was hit and we ended up getting a taxi into Carmen which was around 5 euros.

Lovely hotel Great choice of food. Daily entertainment fantastic. Good location and clean Staff friendly Rooms great and clean Drinks not great Need to clean pool area of cups and glasses a bit more. Make sure you put available note on bed if you want sheets changed. Would definitely go back here was so nice :)

So so clean, attentive staff, such a great range of food choices and just overall one of the best holidays ever

Just returned from a week at this hotel. What can I say. It was perfect from start to finish. It was ran like clockwork. Eating times were excellent. Hardly any queues, excellent restaurant staff taking plates away and checking you needed drinks. Food was excellent. Bar staff friendly. Entertainment team were so professional at all times and polite. The maids cleaned every day. Room was fantastic near the tennis courts. Lots of Parrots on our balcony which was lovely. Although noisy. But we loved seeing them. Perfect location of hotel, right near beach. About 25 min walk to Carmen. This is now our favourite place. It has won our heart and we will make it our regular winter holiday.

This place has 4 out of 5 on this website and it is being robbed. Location is perfect. There are bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes either side and a pleasant walk into Carmen is filled with shops, bars, restaurants, mini golf, hire shops, supermarkets etc on both sides of the road, or turn left along to Los Pocillos which still has a good selection of the same. It's very safe too with road/cycle /pedestrians all having their own routes. Food and drink at the all inclusive was perfect too. You just help yourself to a very good array of drinks. We were never short for choice for breakfast lunch or dinner which we always looked forward to, and snacks in between. There are never any queues for seating or food and there's even a snack area after hours too for burgers salads fruit drinks etc. The many staff are so nice and helpful and work so hard yet it seems so effortless to them. The entertainment team are great and so friendly especially with the little ones. There's always something happening if you want to join in from art for the kids to aqua aerobics which attracts all ages. There was a duo and a main act on every night in the inside auditorium The pools which there are three of are a good size. One on the north side of the complex which we never went in and two near the main block where we stayed. One is really cold but actually very invigorating and the other near it slightly heated and very comfortable. These areas like everywhere in this hotel were spotless and mopped and cleaned every morning. The room was maybe a ninety second walk from the bars, ample size, very tidy and cleaned daily and the shower was always hot and powerful. We were in the main block with garden views overlooking the sport courts and often had parrots visiting our balcony. Overall this is by far the best all inclusive hotel we've ever stayed in. It is ran to absolute perfection, has a very modern feel to it and it is very aesthetically pleasing. To just sit and chill on the sofas upstairs sipping a nice Lumumba on ice whilst people watching or playing cards is very cosy and pleasurable. We will return 100 %.

Just waiting for transfer back to the airport. Had a wonderful week here, a lovely restful week. First of all the staff, from check in to housekeepers bar and restaurant they have all been a credit to the hotel. Everywhere was spotless especially our room, cleaned every day if you wanted. For the amount of people here the food was very good and loads of choice. You could not go hungry. Location of the hotel is spot on, other bars and restaurants within a 15 minute walk or €3 in a taxi. Our second time here and not the last
