Hotel Marte

Room was clean enough, that's the only reason for the 2 stars. Walls are paper thin so can literally hear everyone's conversations, can hear TV's and showers and toilets from other rooms. No air conditioning, the fan that was provided wasn't sufficient enough. Breakfast was mediocre at best, dirty glasses and coffee cups. Staff were friendly enough though so can't fault them, towels changed daily.

Location is excellent few mins walk from main area rooms are very old but clean, I was solo traveller and felt really safe here, staff doing breakfast are lovely so are maids. Pools small but ideal as not many people go up there so plenty of loungers defo worth the 550 I paid for flight and room.

Day four of a five nights half-board stay in room 503 and we'll be sad to leave tomorrow. Hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are polite, friendly & helpful. Room is spacious, bright & comfortable , and the food has been plentiful and tasty. It's located centrally so within walking distance of cafes, bars & seafront, yet no noise issues at all, so ideal hotel for a family break with young children.

Old fashioned hotel,as solo traveller my room was way to small and no view from window. Lucky I was out most days and only back for shower and bed. Pool on top of the roof is small aswell but views amazing. Bar never was opened while I stayed so had to go to town and have some drinks. Staff was really nice and friendly .

Lovely breakfast rooms clean and tidy staff very welcoming amenities within easy reach would recommend and revisit nearby bars good value for money pool area very clean not too noisy well worth the money

I stayed at the hotel between the 10th and 19th of September, and I must say I would NEVER return with it in this condition. The rooms are extremely outdated and need lots of work done. I was a solo traveller, and my room from entering had a sicky smell, which reception said this was due to varnishing the rooms. The room was very hot as the air con was a little unit, which did absolutely nothing to cool the room down. There was a lack of plug sockets, which meant I had to keep unplugging the TV and phone. The room also did not have a fridge, which in this heat is ridiculous. I was having to constantly buy water from the shop so it was cold and was then wasting the warm water left in the room. I since on leaving was told I could have paid daily to have a fridge but this was not offered to me. I personally think with the heat it should be included. The staff were friendly, so I can't fault them on the poor standard and lack of amenities within the hotel. The pool is extremely small, so I used other pools nearby. I spoke with several other guests who confirmed the same, and some even checked out and spent money to stay at another hotel. If it was not for money, I would have checked out myself, but unfortunately, I did not have that privilege. The bar area is not manned, and you have to ask reception for drinks, and they then charge you then get you the drink, which is not a great experience. I am extremely gutted and tried to stay out of the room as much as I could as the surroundings are beautiful and have lots to do, so I am thankful for that. I am now also going home with bad back pain as I could feel every spring from the mattress.
