Very pleasant stay staff very welcoming and helpful rooms are very clean and decent size all-inclusive option was ok although there are lot's of different restaurants and bars up the hill from the hotel which are worth a look at as are the restaurants down in the town and along the seafront. as long as you are fit enough for the walking up and down the hill the hotel is on it'll be a lovely location with spectacular views of the mountains and sea with several good walks in the area..

We just returned from a short break book with jet 2 , when we. Arrived at the hotel we were told we got an upgrade which was to the top floor adults only which was lovely . Rooms were comfy although I think the shower heads need looking at it was slightly disappoint for a rainforest shower head and it didn’t do that . Hotel is at the top of a hill so be ready to walk back up or grab a taxi for around €4.50 . The hotel its self is comfy and clean and tidy . If you’re not early to the pool there’s not always sun beds but at some point in the day there is which is fine . The food is okay breakfast is far the best lunch and dinner if you can find something you like your okay . Was really disappointed tho with the snacks one afternoon we went in to make a burger and there wasn’t any buns left . We asked for some and just got ignored and just left standing there so we gave up . Can’t complain about the drinks bar staff were fantastic and the entertainment throughout the day was good too . Would defo come stay again but probs wouldn’t go all inclusive because of the food .

Our 4-night stay on a half-board basis at Hotel Fergus offered a mixed experience with both positives and drawbacks. Let me explain: Rooms Upon arrival, the room was very clean, bright and pleasant. However, for a hotel in this price range, the room felt slightly smaller than expected. While not cramped, it was below average in size. The balcony, though providing a lovely view of the sea and city, was also smaller than similar hotels I've stayed in It was certainly wide enough but not as "deep" as I'd like. Minor wear and tear around the room, such as chipped paint on the walls and damage to the skirting boards was visible, but not overly bothersome unless closely inspected. The hotel keycards are also a bit finicky. Best advice is to remember to remove it slowly from the slot, otherwise its not going to recognize it. The beds were reasonably comfortable, with thin sheets for the heat as standard, and a spare, thicker duvet provided. However, the two single beds pushed together to mimic a double bed were inconvenient for couples, as there was nothing to hold the beds together, leading to an uncomfortable gap in the middle. A small frustration was a hanging light positioned awkwardly above the bedside table, causing me to bump my head multiple times. Not painfully, as the lampshade wasn't hard or sharp, but it was just an annoyance. The bathroom was functional and bright, albeit with a strange layout and a slightly cramped feel. For example, the toilet was nearly completely inaccessible unless you closed the bathroom door behind you first. The shower itself was comfortable and worked well. One consideration for the taller guest is that the towel rack is located inside the shower close to the roof, so you may wish to duck. There was also no type of extractor inside the bathroom so unless you want a foggy mirror, I'd suggest leaving the door ajar for some kind of ventilation. Room Amenities: The room included a fridge, which is fairly standard, however I was glad to see that the shelves in this fridge included circular cutouts, providing space to store a wine bottle upright. The room also includes a safe, however the code for it is not included. The Fergus will charge you €2.50 per night for the code and use of the safe, which felt excessive; in other hotels at a similar price point that I've stayed at, the safe is usually fully included in the price of the room, and this really feels like putting the security of guests' valuables second to extra revenue. There was ample shelving and a fair number of hangers with a rail for hanging coats, jackets, dresses etc. Towels also included for the shower. A glaring omission from the room was the absence of tea and coffee-making facilities—not even a kettle in the room, which is typically standard in other hotels I've stayed at. This is not 4 star hotel. After check in and collecting key (key that didn't work and had to come back to reception min 2x per day to unlock card) we realized that room looks totally different that on hotel details page. There was a multiple guest with the same issue in queue every day. On website you can see nice modern rooms. We assumed this is what we can expect. We booked SUPERIOR room with balcony but we got standard room instead with blue curtains in flowers and 2 single beds that you can see ripped mattress on the bottom edges. The biggest surprise was that room was part of adjoining room - separated from neighbor room by single doors. Neighbors child was awake from 6 am and apart from crying we could heard conversations totally taking away privacy. After talking to portal Loveholidays they told us that this is room we booked and if the doors are not locked we can talk to reception. After asking reception they said doors has a key and they are fully booked so cant give us different room. Another misleading feature is that the room photos on the hotel details page are from Level 7 - an exclusive area of ​​the hotel that can only be accessed for an additional fee. However, there was no space for upgrades on the 7th floor, so we had no access to the roof. Heated pool was so small with limited amount of sunbeds. After breakfast at 9 am in February there was no space available for 2 people Really disappointed with all experience and for 500£ pp in February definitely expected something much better.
