Galapagos Dreams

I was in a 3-bed dorm. Great hostel with wonderful service. My only ick is that the dorms are on the main floor so you can hear the music / kitchen staff but it didn't go on too late into the evening. Rooms were a good size, and they cleaned every day.

What a great hotel! First time traveling solo and I am glad I picked this hotel. Staff are so friendly and easily approachable with good English (which was a worry for me as I can only speak English). Very clean and had no issues at all. Would recommend to all!

This hotel was selected for us by our tour package. It started off nice with a welcome juice drink. First of all, this hotel is clean, safe, and presumably cheap (which is why the tour company used it). This hotel is also unnecessarily stingy. Examples: 1. We asked for one (1) extra pillow. It was denied until we insisted. It costs nothing. Why be so niggardly? 2. The minute we left for the day, they turned off the AC in our room, which was set at 25. Therefore, our wet clothing never dried. 3. Breakfast actually made me laugh out loud. The standard was a roll, cheese, and ham. It was my first ever ham garnish. The cheese was half the size of a box of matches. I posted a photo with this review with a dollar for size comparison. I’d like to lose five pounds so no problem for me. It might be one for you if your appetite is more robust. So. There are probably ten cheaper places in Port Aroyo and 10 more expensive places with a better breakfast. There’s a really pretty place with a pool across the street called Maidith. Next time…. Except there won’t be a next time because I’ll never visit the Galápagos again. Too little time, too many places.

The Hotel Galapagos Dreams was my base for much of my stay on the Galapagos Islands. The rooms were basic, but comfortable, and the morning breakfast was always good. It was perfectly located, a short walk from the center of Puerto Ayora, where all the restaurants, shops (and misc sea lions laying around) can be found. There is a tour agency that's part of the hotel, and they are super helpful to arrange any tours you want to take, even to the other islands. They also rent pedal bikes there, if you want to get around to a few of the places around town a bit faster. I was very happy I chose Galapagos Dreams to make my Galapagos vacatin a special one.

Galapagos Dreams is a very friendly place to stay with clean rooms and excellent service. Nice breakfast and FREE coffee and water all day. The lunch and dinner were great and very cheap for Galapagos. Only $6:00 The internet on the Galapagos was bad at this time, very slow. Not the fault of the Hotel. I would definitely recommend Galapagos Dreams

I can’t say enough about Jonathan, the proprietor at Galapagos Dreams. He worked with our trip guide from Ecuador Eco Adventure (a great guide service) for my daughter and I in the Galapagos that was wonderful. He was unfailingly attentive, responsive, and available for our questions and itinerary changes. He took care of all transfers, tour fees, diving fees, and even taxis. We felt very well taken care of and enjoyed it immensely. Met great people at the hotel. Wonderful staff.
