Hotel la Isla

We are on night 7 of a 14 night stay. At check in they shook us down for an additional 500 USD. For breakfast we are not partakeing. It's 6-9. We would miss it everyday. It is also not the greatest breakfast. Everything sitting in the open from 6 am. Lots of flies. We are in room 202. Great view if we could open the curtains but the other guests sit outside and there is a male staffer that is constantly hanging out looking in our window. It has a door but no key. No screen so you can t have windows open. I am missing a dress. They removed my bag of dirty whites I kept inside the closet. They said they thought it was garbage??? Inside my closet? Just white dirty underwear and t-shirts. We are feeling very uncomfortable and requested to check out 3 days early but they refused. My daughter is so terrified being here. The male staffer asking her age, if she has a boyfriend, does she work out, asking her to meet him at 9?? ***. She can not sit outside. We can not wait to leave. The other staff is great. We reached out to the owner directly to leave and she said no. We have a Galapagos tour company. This hotel will not be booked again for our guests. There are so many other options.

The property is in a great location! The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable! Even though ti seemed quite clean, the floor needed some good mopping - you could not walk in bare feet (your feet would be black in few minutes). Breakfast was also quite average, but you will find some good cafes nearby if you choose to try something new.

Very nice facility. Everything seems quite new. It is well located on a quiet side street. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and the waterfront. The staff is very friendly. helpful and speaks English well. The breakfast is standard buffet. The only issue I had was that there was a street light at the level of my windows. The curtains were not antiquate to block out the light. Also, be warned that it takes a long time to get hot water. Turn on the shower as soon as you get up.

This hotel is in the middle of the main drag along the bay, a perfect location, and it’s back away from the road so quiet. The owner is amazingly helpful and hospitable. She saw us at the restaurant next door and came in to tell us that we would get a free drink if we tell them we’re staying there. The room we were in was a handicap accessible, and huge. Bed was comfy, breakfast was great, and they even prepared a box breakfast when we were leaving before breakfast hours. Can’t say enough nice about this hotel. We’d certainly return if we were in the area.

What a great hotel! Clean and very open and breezy. The staff was awesome, helpful and so nice, anything you need they seemed to have. The breakfast buffet was great, something different every day in addition to the usual stand-bys. We just can't say enough nice things about our stay. La Isla is right off the main street and very convenient for walking.

Stayed 2 nights and we had 2 rooms on the second floor. Our room had a balcony and a lovely open terrace on the landing  with lounge sofas and a bar counter which was not open during our stay. The views across the water were beautiful. The hotel was in a small bylane off the main street of Puerto Ayora and location was a 10/10. Everything was within walking distance and plenty of restaurants and bars around. The main pier for day ferries was a 5 minute walk and the small fishing pier close by was a huge tourist draw in the morning hours. When the fishermen got in their catch , sea lions , Pelicans and Igunas scavenge around and is a sight to watch. The hotel itself was very clean  and modern rooms were good size. No elevators but they only have two floors. The third floor had a jacuzzi and some more deck chairs. Breakfast was decent and if you do not go early most of the items get over and are not replenished. Service is a bit shoddy but it's not bad. On both days had to pick up spare napkins and cutlery during breakfast from  other tables. A good place to stay on a reasonable budget. Would recommend
