The hotel is badly managed. We reserved two rooms and were assured that one could be a twin (separate beds) for our children. However this was not possible - all the hotel could do was make up two single mattresses on a king base. The roof top bar service is very slow, and when they cannot make up drinks from their menu they simply replace them and do not advise of the alterations (despite intolerances to the replacements). Every bill for food/drink was slow to produce, inaccurate, slow to correct, and slow to settle on the room. This made every visit to the bar/restaurant a stress and reduced the pleasure of the holiday. Despite frequent discussions with the front desk no resolution or apology was provided. The manager was never available, other staff were presented as being more senior but unable to offer any meaningful solution. At checkout the reception manager listened but told me he had no authority to make an offer to make good the stay. I shall have to raise the matter with my credit card company and seek a partial refund instead. However - the building is pleasantly decorated, the rooms are comfortable, breakfast is nice, and the pool area is fantastic (though again there appears to be service but it is next to non-existent - we were at the pool all day but never asked for a drink order, compared to a recent stay in Vegas this was well off the mark). There is no dedicated car parking nearby.
