Captain Pier Hotel

Nice hotel in a nice part of Pernera but be careful as you may not get what you have booked. The hotel regularly over books the rooms and then informs holidaymakers that arrive that due to some form of problem, air con, electrics,water damage etc that your room is not available . Not to worry the reception staff will say we have moved you to our sister hotel , The Penelope and we have given you a sea view room and a complimentary late checkout. The sister hotel is very sub standard with mediocre old style rooms and bland repetitive food choices. Check previous reviews before you book this hotel.

Want to share very positive experience, really clean hotel and friendly staff, especially from Bangladesh! I don’t want to put any names because everyone was very polite and friendly! Everything else was fine, as expected for 3-star hotel: it is clean, comofortable but not very comfortable, food is tasty but not a lot options, they change towels and linen every third day. If we decide to come again we will choose Captain Pier!

We knew before arriving that this was not going to be a luxury hotel because of the price we paid and the time of year we travelled. We also understood that the all-inclusive package was the most basic option. Unfortunately, the restaurant buffet was very disappointing. There were very few choices, and we found that much of the food was difficult to enjoy. Before travelling, we had read that the staff were friendly. While we did meet some helpful and kind employees, several seemed interested in providing good service only when they expected a tip. The biggest disappointment was the reception staff. In our experience, they were unfriendly, unhelpful and unprofessional. From the moment we arrived, they refused to help us with simple requests. We were not shown to our room, we had to ask repeatedly for towels, and one of the beds was broken and it took quite some time before it was repaired. We also politely asked if they could help us book a table at a local restaurant, but they refused without offering any alternative. At other hotels we have stayed at, the reception has always been happy to assist with this, or at least explained when it could be arranged. This was our personal experience. While some members of the staff were pleasant, we found that most of the reception team was anything but welcoming, and their attitude had a significant negative impact on our stay

very nice hotel with very good service. All staff are incredibly nice and service oriented. Very good food and fun with different themes every day and very different dishes. A little smaller pool space but very cozy

They were always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, going above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. Their positive attitude, professionalism, and excellent service truly enhanced my experience. Whether it was recommending drinks, having a friendly chat, or ensuring everything was perfect, they consistently delivered outstanding customer service. Thank you, Zahid and Arman, for making my stay so memorable. You should definitely attend the bar! 😊

Great hotel, impressive and tasty food for breakfeast, lunch and dinner. The staff was brilliant. They made the whole trip. Zahid and Armand was the best bartenders there is. They made us feel very welcome from the start. Recomended

This was my first hotel in Cyprus, and having now returned back home I am left underwhelmed. TLDR: Great hotel, food is good but choices are limited and the food is often only lukewarm. The pros that makes it somewhat competitive is the pricing and the staff. The hotel itself has a great location and vibe for adults. The rooms are as you would expect here, and I have no complaints for any of this. The pool is also a perfect size for this hotel. I was slightly puzzled as there are not parasols with all the sunbeds. Now when we were there the hotel wasn't full but I can imagine this could be a problem if full. The bar is the star here, the bartenders are friendly and efficient and the selection is on par with other all inclusive. The food is where things get complicated as the food is actually really good, but it does come with some cons: The food is very often lukewarm, and as there were little to no sauces to "fix" that issue it does detract from the experience. The choices are somewhat adult in nature, things like plain fries, mashed potatoes and regular potatoes should always be available. The rooms are nice but the cleaning is very limited, the worst part is having to ask for toiletpaper and towels, this should just be done. I would recommend it as a cheap alternative, but as it stands now it isnt a great experience, merely good. The most annoying part is that is such little effort/change that would change this from a good to a great experience. I may return in future and time will see if they improve or if they decide that "Good" is where they want to stay.

Amazing staff. Especially zahid and iqram. They made our stay so much better than we had hoped. They were kind, helpful and friendly. Huge respect for those two and the rest of the staff. Thanks for an amazing holiday.
