Silver Sands Beach Hotel

We had high expectations for our holiday to the Silver Sands Beach Hotel in 2024. We were so looking forward to the holiday. When we arrived the coach deposited our luggage at the top of the road without any consideration to the fact that we might have had a long journey and we were forced to carry our luggage down to the Hotel. The Silver Sands Hotel is basically a Youth hostel operation with food included. The rooms are basic and there was a insect in one of the drawers. The toilet was very difficult to flush as we thought the handle would fall off in our hands. The shower unit was the same and I broke a nail trying to move the mixer tap from the bath function to the shower function. The room was not fresh and felt dirty although cleaner's did make the beds and clean the room. Breakfast and supper was ok but the service was not great. We got the impression that certain staff were not interested in us ! We would not recommend anyone to stay at this particular hotel at all costs. Its a 1 star Hotel with basic amenities. We have stayed at numerous hotels in Cyprus and this was by far the worst hotel we have stayed in. Its so sad as the hotel is on the beach so the location is very good. This hotel needs a complete refurb to bring it up to a decent standard that someone would be happy to stay in.

Excellent stay at the silver sands hotel why this hotel is only 3 stars is beyond me me and my partner had the best time and would rate 5 stars we have stayed in 3 stars before and this is by far the best hotel ever in the best location right on the beach close to bars shops restaurants very good location very friendly helpful staff the food was amazing second to non great selections something for everyone always hot perfect Room 331 side sea view but this room gifts you with a sun set view room was tended too everyday and cleaned perfectly spacious room with fridge hairdryer bath shower towels changed everyday we checked in around 2.45 am and because we missed dinner we was given a voucher to use for free lunch the following day hotel pool area spotless well maintained big shoutout to makis the best bar guy around (let’s have a shot) great reception team very helpful we cannot wait to return again by far the best holiday look forwards to future stays at silver sands anyone who is going for the first time your in for a treat

Probably one of the top three best value for money hotels in Protaras I've ever been. This is a beautiful hotel with excellent service sitting on a 5 star beach and I can't have enough of it. A paradise on its own
