Holiday Inn Express & Suites Prosser - Yakima Valley Wine

Great hotel large room comfortable bed. Very clean. Staff super friendly. Close to winery cellar door tasting rooms. A little far from centre of town though and restaurants unless you like fast food - that was all close by. Good breakfast variety supplied.

Nice hotel in the Prosser wine area, close to wineries and restaurants. Easy check in, nice rooms and decent breakfast. Would stay again although the hotel is not walking distance to wineries but close enough. Near fast food restaurants and gas station.

Decent hotel next to a large truck stop. Modern design and doesn’t seem very old. Room was generally clean. The rating is because of the lack of customer service and hospitality. As a 20+ yr IHG member I am Loyal to the brand but hospitality seems to be a missing part of the relationship these days. On my check out day I asked for 30 mins extra in the room to pack up and take an important business call. I was essentially told no but was offered a conference room instead. Since I had to pack this was not going to work for me. What was more infuriating to me though is that I was told during this conversation with the front desk staff that housekeeping was already in my room and wondering why I had left stuff in my room? Curious though since it was still before check out and I had a do not disturb sign up in the room. So while the hotel could not be accommodating enough to give me an extra 30 minutes they were more than happy to use MY TIME prior to check out to go into the room to clean it even though I had a do not disturb sign up. Total BS in my opinion. If you are not going to give me 30 mins then stay out of the room until check out. Oh and when I attempted several times to call the hotel to discuss this with the manager no one picked up the phone. It just rang and rang and rang…..no answer.

We don't usually stay at Holiday Inns, and this was an exceptional surprise! The room with two beds and a fold out sofa was very nice and roomy. The windows looked out unto the surrounding hills, very nice. The linens on the beds were heavenly, and seemed very clean and new. Breakfast was great, as was the staff. Our only initial negative was the fact that our GPS took us to Exit 82 and around a loop for some reason. Then when we finally found the hotel we were baffled as to how to enter it. Just know that you have to pass it, and turn into a truck stop first. Other than that, everything else was good.

The hotel is quite new, nice outdoor common area with a BBQ, clean rooms and pool, secure parking for motorcycles, the best continental breakfast and great staff. Kevin Rowekamp went out of his way to accommodate us and for that we are grateful!

We are not regular users of HI Express, but this experience might change that. This is an easy off from I-82 once you figure our the quirk that you have to drive through a Loves truck stop to access the hotel. If you are very sensitive to noise suggest you ask for a room at the end away from the freeway and truck stop. The exterior is the basic modern structure of most HI expresses with plenty of parking. Check in was warm and efficient. We were offered either daily or on-request room servicing. The lobby and breakfast areas have a pleasant modern decor with a small sundries store, business area and and ATM. The hotel features a small indoor pool, exercise center and a covered outside seating area with a fire pit. The complementary breakfast was very good with eggs, meats, biscuits and gravy, fruit, etc- only missing a nice pot of oatmeal. Our king room was a moderate size as was the bathroom with a large walk in shower. The decor is modern industrial with a single piece of art and a very clever design feature with the window wall painted a contrasting color with a heavy dark wood "picture frame" surrounding the window. Furniture was functional and comfortable with lots of outlets and good lighting. The HVAC was effective, if a little noisy. The room had a refer, microwave, Keurig coffee, a safe and a medium sized flatscreen with lots of channels. Complementary internet and local newspaper. The bed was very comfortable with very good pillows and linens, The bath had good toiletries and towels. The regular and available discounted rates made for a fair value. All in all a good house and a nice stay.
