Great hotel, lovely food, the pool and gym are amazing in the morning would definitely stay again

We got married here 12.10, and the experience was worth every penny. We were placed in a beautiful, spacious and clean room which was perfect for what we needed. Every staff member that we came across was pleasant, both in housekeeping and bar/wedding staff. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. Nice and hot, and just the right amount of variety to avoid being overwhelmed. Onto the wedding. It went off without a hitch (that I know of!). I cannot thank Andy and Katie enough. Their communication throughout planning and on the day was fast, professional and to the point, leaving no room for misinterpretation or stress. Katie was always on hand for any questions I had big or small, and made it clear when she was unavailable so I was 100% aware of when to expect a response. Andy on the day was professional and organised. I knew exactly what was going to happen and when. He also had banter, and kept things lighthearted which calmed my nerves. Overall, I have 0 faults. I had so many compliments from all the guests. Customer service was fantastic and the venue looked amazing. Honestly thank you all so much for everything.

Very good value for money with decent rooms excellent breakfast and friendly staff Free car parking a bonus these days Yes it’s a bit tired but the staff more than make up for that - gym attached decent bar and good location next to motorway. Ideally the beds could be a bit bigger

Excellent service, lovely clean hotel. Special mention for Dave (house keeping). Who always goes above and beyond,with his service. Pub food Excellent. Breakfast was plentiful . Basically all the staff very Friendly and accommodating, which makes the stay great. Highly recommend

Stayed here for my sister’s and brother-in-law’s wedding for two nights. The ceremony was at the hotel so we decided to stay at the hotel the night before and on the night of the wedding. The hotel itself was great and the staff members we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed including a bath. The room was very quiet and although, very hot with no air conditioning, we did manage to cook the room down with the fans provided in the room. The wedding provision was great and the venue was perfect from the ceremony to wedding breakfast and evening disco with buffet. The downside was the bar and restaurant which is nowhere near big enough for the hotel and number of room. Those of us staying over the night before decided to eat together in the restaurant. Not enough seating to be sat together and the food took AGES to arrive, with food ordered in the same order arriving at different times with over ten minutes between first meal arriving and the second. All very badly organised but front of house staff were brilliant and did the best they could. This put us off going down for breakfast both mornings, but some of the people in the wedding party did go for breakfast and said it wasn’t up to much.

Visited the Liverpool this time in a great deal. Even though it’s not like other villages we have visited we found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. No Starbucks but the still has a great pool and breakfast didn’t seem as hectic so very enjoyable.

Stayed at many Village hotels before but first time here. As ever all the staff are super friendly and the bar/restaurant is a sports bar. This is the first one I’ve been ask to pay to use the pool/gym. Is this a new thing? Also you have to pay for parking during the week which seems tight on their behalf. More disappointing thing was the bedroom and bathroom were awful ,nothing like other Village hotels we’ve stayed in. Room was old fashioned, dark and dingy. The bathroom was worse. Dreadful shower/bath combo and the sealant was black from mould throughout. Need ripping out and modernising. Breakfast was standard Village, which was fine for the price.

Stayed 3 nights whilst on business, checked in by Chloe who was very helpful, she accommodated a room change for me so I could have a larger TV and even set up connecting my phone to the tv so I could watch Netflix after I had difficulty doing so. The bar and restaurant staff were polite and friendly, Amy was particularly helpful in sorting out the dinner vouchers I had.
