Stayed here during Eurovision as it was one of the cheaper options available. The positives are that it's only a few minutes walk from Pratteln train station, which has frequent trains (roughly every 15 minutes from my experience) into Basel's main station, with the journey being only 10 minutes. Also not too far from the airport. The staff I encountered were all very friendly, and we were able to leave our luggage for a few hours on the day we left, as our flight wasn't until late - wasn't sure whether they would offer this at such a budget hotel. There's also a tram stop a slightly further walk away, which connects directly with St Jakob, very useful if going to an event there. Breakfast was included in the cost but the selection was VERY limited and the seating area rather small (didn't help one day that there was a group of four people taking up a table, all sat typing on laptops rather than actually eating), though when there's not a big event going on this probably isn't a problem as there's such little choice, people will either be quick at breakfast or decide to go elsewhere. The room was small, no drawers or cupboard to store clothes, just a few hangers. The shower and sink are both right next to the bed, with the toilet in a small room as you enter. The only thing that really bothered me about this was the room with the toilet didn't have a door handle, just a circular hole where a handle would normally be. I'd only stay at this hotel either alone, or with someone I'm very comfortable with, because privacy is not a thing. What I didn't realise before coming to Switzerland was that the country uses a different type of plug to the rest of Europe. Thankfully they sell adaptors (along with a few other things you might need) down at reception, at a cost of 20 CHF. Overall I wouldn't say I had a negative experience or view of this hotel. I'm giving it 2/5 as I feel like it's aiming for 2/5, so it nails that.
