L'Hirondelle Self Catering Guest House

I had a really comfortable stay here, veranda is spacious where the sea view is fantastic (rm 7), apartment is a good size and really clean. There’s a security guard at night. Theres a lot of attention to detail like providing oil, salt and tea/coffee, which many self catering places don't but makes a big difference! Also things like providing wet towels on arrival (to cool yourself in the heat) and an umbrella in the room. There’s parking on the property, they arranged car hire for me. The location is perfect! 5 mins from the jetty, well placed to explore the island, there’s a bus stop just outside and it’s opposite one of the best beaches on the island (in that season). Also its a minute from the village but far enough from hubbub of the village. They provide beach towels and there’s plenty of tree cover. Disliked · The proprietor wasn't my fav person I met in Seychelles, professional and friendly but I found her manner a bit stern. Maggi is awesome, she helped me out with an issue. Their taxi driver Robert charged me just under £20 for the 5 min journey from the jetty, I managed to get a return taxi for cheaper. You can get the bus to and from the jetty but not sure if you can take luggage on it

This place don’t look much from pictures and when outside but it’s a true hidden gem. The rooms/ apartments are very functional, smart and pretty. You have your own little kitchen, seating area, bedroom and bath organised in a clever way. WiFi is good and service from staff impeccable. They beach near by Anse Volbert are nice for swimming but take caution of the stingrays. They are frequently visiting this beach so watch out and wear beach shoes. Breakfast served were excellent and laundry service worked fast and well. You’ll find some really nice restaurants in walking distance, convenient if you don’t have your own car. There also a bus stop right in front if you want to go to Anse Lazio. I can highly recommend this place if heading for Praslin.

Amazing guest house with wonderful staff and fantastic location on the beach with possibilities for snorkling and diving next doors. Easy access ATM and to buy food and souvenirs/swimwear further down the road. The rooms are light and with a view to the ocean. I recommend everyone to come here!

Spacious apartments, furnished with local wood and maritime theme with wonderful views over the beach! Friendly family own guesthouse run by multi lingual owners and personnel. Walking distance to shopping, kitchenettes in the rooms!

Ottima struttura self catering. Appartamento per quattro persone molto grande, due camere e due bagni. Posizione fronte mare ma con strada da attraversare. Colazione preparate dal personale in appartamento. Questo crea confusione e odore nei locali, sarebbe stato meglio se la colazione e fosse stata servita in un locale comune. Volo alla sera, vi hanno lasciato l’appartamento in quanto libero ma ci hanno chiesto 50€.

Appartamento praticamente sulla spiaggia (basta attraversare la strada) davvero carino. Siamo stati accolti con un buon succo di frutta fresco davvero delizioso. L’appartamento pulito ed è bellissimo, abbastanza grande e ha tutto quello che ti serve. Cucina completa, un piccolo divano, uno splendido letto a baldacchino un comodo bagno, e un balcone con vista mare. Abbiamo usufruito del servizio lavanderia che costa 25€, abbastanza caro ma ne avevamo bisogno. Lo staff è molto gentile, abbiamo avuto un unico piccolo problema: dopo la prima notte abbiamo ordinato la colazione in camera concordando il servizio il pomeriggio prima (15€ a testa per del caffè, latte, succo, pane con marmellate, frutta, 2 brioche e uova). Dopo aver finito la colazione, dato che non ci era piaciuta molto, abbiamo avanzato 1 o 2 pezzi di pane, un po’ di marmellata, i panetti di burro e una brioches che abbiamo conservato in frigorifero e nel suo cestino in cucina per poterlo mangiare più tardi o il giorno dopo. Al rientro dopo la giornata al mare ci siamo accorti che la signora delle pulizie ci aveva buttato via tutto quello che ci eravamo conservati (tranne la frutta). Sono andata a dirlo in reception dove in un primo momento mi è stato risposto che la signora delle pulizie sistema tutto quando arriva e quindi è normale così , dopo aver ribadito che noi quel cibo lo abbiamo pagato e non poco, perciò se lo salviamo per mangiarlo più tardi non deve esistere che qualcuno lo butti via, poi si è scusata. Al check out la signorina dello staff ha di nuovo tirato fuori la questione dicendo di averlo riferito a chi si occupa delle pulizie ma sempre prima dicendoci praticamente che è normale che ci venga buttata via la roba… al mio ennesimo “anche no dato che quel cibo era nostro, era pagato e non bisogna mettere mano tra le nostre cose in frigo” ci ha detto che avevamo ragione. Detto ciò ci aspettavamo almeno 5€ di sconto dato che parte delle cose da mangiare ci sono state buttate via ma ciò non è accaduto e questa cosa ci ha un po’ infastidito. Detto questo comunque consigliamo di soggiornare in questo posto anche per la buona posizione difronte ad Anse Volbert.
