First time visiting Prairie Du Chien. Funtiwn with lots in interesting places within walking distance. The River District Hotel had comfortable beds, a great pool and hot tub, terrific breakfast -the best- and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews and was so happy that I did. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We have never stayed at a hotel that was this clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. A lot of good restaurant and shops within walking distance as well as St. Feriole Island Park. We were invited to have cheese and crackers in the afternoon and ice cream in the evening. The breakfast was the best any of us had ever had at a hotel and even some restaurants. A wonderful chef made us omelets and offered to make eggs any way we wanted them and the buffet had a ton of choices. We are already planning another trip just so we can stay here again.

Everyone on staff at the River District Hotel was very friendly. We stayed two nights and our room was luxurious. Who knew that in the morning, you would be warmly greeted by Darla Warland, the Omelette Chef, who cheerfully asked, "What can I prepare for you?" The breakfast buffet and the omelette were delicious. We chose this hotel because it was recommended in the 'Great River Road' issue of a fall 2023 Milwaukee Magazine, our hometown. The staff took particular care to tell us about the historical and beautiful sights in the Praire Du Chien area. We couldn't take them all in during our two-day stay, so we've booked the hotel again for a May trip. You will be delighted at the River District Hotel!
