Fortino Napoleonico

L'unica cosa veramente degna di nota è l'ubicazione. La struttura bella ma in fase decadente, andrebbero rinnovate molte cose. Esperienza al ristorante negativa, elevato il costo 110,00 euro per due persone per antipasto primo e dessert, solo acqua niente vino. Piatti freddi e anonimi. Il personale al servizio colazioni molto disponibile e simpatico. Al contrario dei loro colleghi al ristorante. Pulizia insufficiente nelle camere. Stanze piccole in rapporto al costo, in una superior non c'è neanche un cassetto dove riporre la biancheria. Siamo stati tutto il periodo del soggiorno con le valigia aperte. Fatto presente tutto ciò alla reception unica cosa che hanno saputo rispondere che verrà avvisata la Direzione e ... se avevo preso qualcosa dal frigo bar!! Servizio in piscina/spiaggia adeguato, ma molto attenti all'orario di chiusura. Cominciavano a chiudere 15/20 minuti prima per poi alle 19,00 staccare.

Beautiful historic hotel steps from the Adriatic Sea. Classy, comfortable and air conditioned rooms. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the 2 lovely restaurants. The only thing was their menu is all fish, which is strange since not everyone can eat fish. So, if you want meat or are vegetarian, you have to request that at the reception. I find it strange that they don’t offer more option. Lots of parking. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

This is the fifth time my wife and myself have sojourned at the Fortino . All the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable and well prepared. The hotel has its own private park with a fresh water swimming pool and a gate that gives you access to to sea. Unfortunately, the beach area is rocky so you’ll need a pair of aqua shoes when you get into the water .. For me, the main event is dining at the restaurant. The food is excellent with a lovely view of the gulf and the surrounding area . All in all , it’s a unique experience.

The room was spacious, clean, and perfectly climate controlled. The views from the property were stunning. The service and quality at the breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel/resort. I loved the pool, the grounds, the densely packed trees around the property made it feel like a completely secluded wonderland. I would 10/10 stay here again, and wish we'd planned to be there longer. The on-site restaurant dinner was fine, but I think I'd have rather tried places around the hotel for the price and service.

The Fortino is a wonderful, unique place to stay. The staff are all really friendly, our room was lovely, great breakfast in the inner courtyard. We had dinner there twice , the food was good if a little expensive and location overlooking the sea on the terrace as the sun set is stunning. We stayed over a weekend and 2 weddings were on. This meant a busy car park and a bit of noise, but no major disruption for hotel guests. The immediate access to the public rocky shoreline for walking around the bay and swimming was very handy, yet still the hotel grounds were secure for guests. The large garden with plenty of space and options for sunbathing or shade was excellent, with a nice pool. Monte conero area is a super place to be, Sirolo and Munama are worth visiting and many of the beaches can be reached with a bit of a walk. Portonovo itself benefits from sitting right on the water. There is not a lot there, but we loved being right on the sea with the hill behind us. When it got dark at sunset it was such a peaceful place. The road to the hotel is....tricky! Then you get used to the bends. And we never did find an easy route from around Ancona! Final tip, book il Molo restaurant on the beach next door, it was a highlight. A lovely start to our Le Marche adventure, thanks to all the staff.
