The Slipway B&B

Our room in The Slipway was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The breakfast offered was the best we have experienced in our travels through Cornwall. The manager and staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly. It was like a home away from home. The location was very central to cover all of Port Isaac easily. We hope to come back one day. Highly recommended.

What a great little inn, while our room was small it had a nice view of the harbor. We only staid for 2 nights (to do the Doc Martin Tour). The food was a star along with the service. Food had great choices and to our happy suprise the Chef made many dishes Gluten free (she has Celiac). The Inn is centrally located in the village and an easy walk anywhere in the village. Even though they say you can drive in to drop off your bag, try not to the streets are narrow and difficult to turn around. It is enterntainment forthe locals to watch tourist turn around. But everyone is very nice if you must drive down. Therer are car parks within walking distance

Port Isaac is a great setting for a great holiday. We wanted to experience the heart of Port Isaac right by the harbor--The Slipway B&B is the perfect place to take in the ambiance. The building is a listed period building which has rooms that have been carefully modernized. The service is great, as is the food. There are pubs, other restaurants, galleries and shops within just a few feet away. Parking is a walk up the hill a few hundred yards away--you can drive to The Slipway to drop off luggage and then park up the hill. We spent four nights at The Slipway and that was just right to get a good feel for Port Isaac--it is truly a special place. We definitely want to go back and may even stay for a full week or more. The Slipway B&B team members are very attentive and competent, which provides us with confidence that our future stays would be as enjoyable as our first.

A very warm welcome from the host, comfortable room with the perfect seaview straight out to the harbour. It was very quiet when we stayed so lacked atmosphere - I suspect would be very different in season. Nevertheless we were well looked after and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning - delicious overnight oats, cold cuts and baked goodies.

Our rooms were immaculate - clean, newly decorated, tasteful soft furnishings, and very comfortable. Both with en suites, which were also spotlessly clean. The dining area was very attractive and the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious! A tad overpriced perhaps for the time of year but nevertheless a most enjoyable weekend in beautiful Port Isaac - Lesley

The Slipway Port Issac is without doubt the one eatery in this beautiful harbour side village TO AVOID! We do enjoy our coffee and cake but the selection of cakes was very disappointing. We settled for two Oatmilk Lattes and two Muffins. The lattes were ok, nice and hot although the cups were a lot smaller than we are used to. The Muffins were very dry and tasteless and gave the impression of being bought from a Supermarket Budget line. Anyway we were on a mini break and determined to enjoy ourselves regardless. The best however was yet to come, The Bill, as follows: 2 latte. @ £4.80 = £9.60 2 Oatmilk @ £0.80 = £1.60 2 Muffins @ £4.00 = £8.00 TOTAL. £19.20 We were pretty disgusted at these prices more akin to London so we asked around the other eateries in Port Issac and they were all considerably cheaper and they were very apologetic that we should be charged so much saying that it reflected badly on them and did nothing to encourage people to return. So remember the name THE SLIPWAY, give it a miss!
